Can somebody explain to me how to respond when one comment becomes a joint conversation?
No I'm not ready to learn yet how to attach photos lol

Hi everyone... chilly day here today. Was up last night watching France 24 news and just devastated over this tragedy. Praying for peace in our world!
On a happier note, our food pantry in town put out an urgent call for food so I dropped some off this morning and found the Borough is putting up the rest of the Christmas decor in prepartion for next week's Christmas parade!!! AFter that I ran to Target and got some stocking stuffers for the kids.
This evening we're going to an outdoor light show at a park in Philadelphia (after getting our favorite pizza downtown of course!!). The light show started Thursday so I figured we'd get a jump start on the season! It's breezy and cool so we'll be bundled up!!

Good Morning, Folks.
Moving boldly into Christmas Season 2015, we are!

And still the count goes on:
Days to Thanksgiving: 12 (Getting close to SINGLE DIGITS!)
Days to Christmas Day: 41 (Now UNDER 6 weeks left!)


Well, our weather took a cool turn yesterday but it was dry and sunny with little wind. Cold weather looms just ahead however, and this morning has started out at 42 degrees here in our portion of MMC.


Have a Sensational Saturday and a Stupendous Second Day of Christmas Season 2015, Everybody!
And say. Get out those Christmas albums and movies, Folks. Let your Christmas spirit show!

The Wonderful Ties That Bind

What a great year! Another fantastic countdown.
And thread participation WAY beyond what I ever dreamed possible when we first started here almost 10 years ago. (Has it really been that long?)

What keeps us here and keeps us coming back day after day and year after year?
Our common love of Christmas and its wonderful surrounding Season, of course.
But more than that, I think all of us know something truly good when we see it.
We see common ground with each other and we know that only the finest, nicest and kindest people would gravitate to a place such as this one. A site whose very topic insipires this kind of atmosphere. A haven where we can relax, be ourselves and not feel judged, all while wrapped in the contex of a deep, common interest.
(Can the same be said of many -- perhaps most -- other threads on the internet?)

So, as we proceed through the depth of this 50 day Season, hum a Christmas tune, put on a knowing smile and wrap yourselves in the warmth that this time of year and our wonderful members help to impart.

Just need to get some stuff done around the house and I might head towards the mall later just to see if they have started decorating. Santa has already arrived at the malls on the North and South sides of Indy. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

This morning was another holiday milestone---our little spinet piano was tuned. I always have it tuned this time of year so it sounds nice for Christmas (the only time I ever seem to play it). I was smiling to myself as I heard the tuner working her way up from the bass notes through the middle notes and ending on the high, high plinky notes, then playing some beautiful running arpeggios up and down the keyboard when she finished. When our piano is ready for Christmas, the rest of the world isn't far behind!

I think The antibiotics are working their magic for my sweet girl. She seems to want to be active, play more, and she hasn't had any accidents in the past few days.
I have been catching up on sleep, which has really helped me feel better. Thank God for long weekends.
