as a cashier at a grocery store I have learned not to look at the line up and just deal with each customer as they get to me. Of course at my till you would never have "that" line upHA! Kroger was a ZOO!! And of course I picked "THAT line" at the cash register. They were having problems. It was no big deal, but I always seem to pick "that line"!
Here's a new update (more details) about the parade - this is just exciting! LOL
Mikaela will be in the Spirit of America group performing in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. They will be the last performing group and Santa comes down the middle of the crew. Mikaela starts in the 7th row but moves up in the beginning of the dance to the 2nd row in the middle section. At the end, she will be right down the middle. The parade is from 9 -12 aired on NBC. Miara Carey will go, then Snoopy, ( commercial) then our crew, then some ballons, then Santa!! Look for these costumes. She has a great chance of being on TV. Thanks everyone for your support!!

It was actually kind of comical - the lady infront of me had some kind of refund checks - they were worth $10 - the cashier hit the wrong button & gave her $176 worth of groceries, free! OOPS!! So that was a bit of a mess! Had to call in another lady & re-ring so they could charge her the $166. I told her I was happy to be in that line....FREE GROCERIES! HA! I already had my groceries on the belt otherwise I would have gone to a different register. But it was no big deal ~ I wasn't in a rush!

All this talk of going home early today is making me jealous. We usually cut out a little early on Christmas Eve, but they're not so forgiving on Thanksgiving Eve. In their defense, however, they do give us the Friday after Thanksgiving with pay, too. So, we get a four day weekend after today!
We checked out the mower Mama was interested in, and it looked good, so she bought it. It's one of those industrial zero-turn SCAG-brand mowers. She needs it, because she includes the whole pecan orchard as her yard. That's several acres of grass to cut, but she loves it!
We're BBQ-ing chicken for the plant today, and the whole place is filled with the smell of chicken cooking. I'm getting hungry!

Merry Pines Day, Happy Hump Day, & a Festive Thanksgiving Eve!!! It's a beautiful morning here - sunshine, frosty & warming as the day goes on! 60º tomorrow ~ hard to believe it's Thanksgiving! It should be good weather for a walk after our meal tomorrow!
Tonight we go to see Mama Mia - looking forward to that. My sister is having us all over for chili (or taco salad) & grilled cheese before the show. We figured it would be too rushed to try to go out to eat 1st, so she offered to have us over!Last night I made a pumpkin roll to bring there & I also brought one in to work this morning. I also got the sausage dressing made! Productive night...except my Kitchen Aid was running so much I couldn't hear Charlie Brown Thanksgiving!
I'll have to watch it on DVD.
I don't think I told you that the vet called yesterday & said Gracie's specialist is out of town until Dec 1st so her test results won't be read until she gets back. Ah, the waiting game! At least Gracie seems fine (knocking on wood) so we'll keep doing what we're doing!

Oh, parade update! My friend texted last night & said her daughter is towards the end of the parade, as a matter of fact, she is in the group that will be introducing........ SANTA CLAUS!!!
How fun is that??!?!! Apparently she is in a group of 600 dancers. She will be in the 2nd row!
Not that you will get a great view of her on tv but this is her in the middle (blonde)

Happy Thanksgiving eve to those who celebrate!
Well after days of nagging, I am happy to say Mr. Rose finally bought the turkey late last night and preseasoned it all by himself I may add.LOL
Today I will spend some time prepping and chopping vegetables ECT.
Then tomorrow morning we get up and put it altogether.
