Oh, parade update! My friend texted last night & said her daughter is towards the end of the parade, as a matter of fact, she is in the group that will be introducing........ SANTA CLAUS!!! ::wave :march::jump:snowhappy How fun is that??!?!! Apparently she is in a group of 600 dancers. She will be in the 2nd row!
Not that you will get a great view of her on tv but this is her in the middle (blonde)

No shopping for us on Black Friday! This is the long weekend when we keep our distance from traffic and crowds, and wrap gifts and prepare packages that will be mailed next week to out-of-town friends and relatives.

I have my lights on my tree, but I'm a little ashamed to say haven't been motivated to decorate further. I've kinda hit a slump now that the season is officially here. Maybe I'm tired, maybe I'm a little burned out from pushing to get pre-Christmas projects done on time, maybe I'm worried about Gloria's injuries and recuperation ... I'm going through the motions to get things done, but haven't really been lit up by the season yet. Don't know whether I should relax and recharge, or get going and see if decorating will light things up for me. Tea, crochet, and "Miracle on 34th Street" are looking tempting ...

Mr. has declared today to be Thanksgiving II and is already thinking about another plate full of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and other goodies. When we were putting away the leftovers yesterday I fixed myself a bowl with layers of Thanksgiving so I can just reheat it and drizzle gravy on top! Add a few brown 'n' serve rolls, and it WILL be Thanksgiving again.

Nice. Our Thanksgiving II will be on Saturday which is when I will have leftovers.

Wow, yesterday was great! There was so much food that Mama and Nancy's Mama are begging is to come back today to help eat it again. LOL We're also running out to get the Christmas tree,,,FINALLY!! I just took the fall decorations down this morning.

I've been washing parts of the Camaro interior hard plastic that we're planning to re-use. Boy, that stuff was nasty!

Good Afternoon/Evening christmas friends...Hope everyone is having a good day so far...Its Black Friday and plenty of bargains going around for sure..Not for me though its like a mad house out there today..I would rather do all my shopping on Xmas Eve than do it today..How about you guys...Have yeah picked up a bargain or too today?

Thank you ... Still puttering around working on gifts just now, but getting some cozy cheer is definitely on the agenda.
 
Back from Meijer. It wasn't nearly as bas as I thought it would be. There were several lines that didn't even have anyone in them. The girl that checked us out said they never got a big rush this morning when their sale started. So she was happy. I'm guessing that everyone wore themselves out last night and didn't understand the concept of a Black Friday sale that actually started on Black Friday anymore.
