Christmas Countdown - 2015

Thank you! Enjoy your relaxing cosy evening! I'm actually watching "The Box of Delights," which I first saw on PBS back in the 1980s. In between episodes I'm doing the laundry and the dishes.

Trader Joe's was all out of chocolate oranges, and they said they won't be getting any more. But ... I found some vanilla-cinnamon tea there, which I didn't know they had, so it wasn't a wasted trip!

We used to be able to get Terry's chocolate oranges, both milk and dark chocolate, at drugstores and supermarkets, but in the past couple years---NONE. Have they stopped exporting them to the U.S.? The ones I see on Amazon are all shipped from the U.K. I sure miss 'em. I used to give a few out with gifts to friends at the office. I haven't seen Stash's Christmas Morning tea yet either, but I'm hoping the local supermarket will get some. They've had it the past few years.

I heard that you can purchase Terry's Chocolate Oranges from Walmart, but I don't know if they're available anywhere near you. Maybe it's just the on-line store that sells them.

Unseasonably warm and snowless here in the North. I can get away with a rain jacket and Christmas top when I go shopping shortly. Our temps vary a bit, but nothing that has required plugging in the car at night.

The across the creek neighbours are getting their Christmas card this weekend. They have added more lights and the couple beside them have taken up the merry reins and joined in decorating, but they don't keep their lights on all night long like the others.
I'm already suffering from on-again/off-again migraines so unfortunately I won't be able to put up outdoor lights this year. It's from not having our lights up that makes it so much more joyful to see the lights across the creek lighting up my world.

Last year, we had snow on Christmas Eve and a few years before that, it came down, big fluffy flakes on Christmas morning just like a merry movie. We don't have a garage so I don't care for the work involved in removing the snow and all the scraping of the ice off the windows of the car, but I do so love the snow over the Christmas holidays.

We do a potluck on Christmas eve, just trying to make a list of what everyone is bringing. Christmas day I make a prime rib, and my MIL makes a turkey.

Sounds delicious! Gonna be a lot of fun!

Good Saturday Morning MMC! Wow back to the weekend here in December. It went faster than I thought it would (this week). I was up early exercising and went to dunkin for iced coffee and a coffee roll. I'll be heading out for a run and then to the mall to Christmas shop. I'll stop at the deli and get a nice sandwich for lunch. I have some homework to do and then it's pretty much all about watching a lot of Christmas shows. Oh and I ordered 2 Christmas CD's last night on amazon. That's the one thing I don't have much of is Christmas music. I just listen to it online usually. It'll be nice to have them.
Have a great Saturday aka December Saturday aka that's just plain awesome day.
