Happy Sunday!
I have a little bit more decorating to do today. One of our neighbors decided to scale back on their decorating this year. They don't want to put a big tree up anymore so they offered it to us, it's a beautiful pre-lit tree. They asked a few people before they offered it to us and everyone turned them down. So weird. Who wouldn't want another Christmas tree?!

Good morning, friends! Long time, no see! How are you all doing? I hope you're all enjoying the Christmas season so far!

I'm getting more in to it now, as we are decorated here and I haven't been as busy. I've had more time to enjoy it with DH and the kids. I still haven't had much time to sit down and watch Christmas movies or TV, but hopefully I will soon.

I have something new to share with you all though - it's been something DH and I had been talking about for quite a while and it came as a surprise just a week or two ago, that she was able to come home with us so soon - we have a new puppy! Nittany came home to us yesterday! Our breeder had two puppies from the last litter, so we jumped at the chance. The kids, us, and Ella our in love already. I'm so pleased how well Ella is doing with her.

Good Sunday morning, my Christmas friends!

Well, it took three days at 12 hours per day, but we finally got my truck back on the road! My transmission wouldn't go in reverse (but it would go forward) when I tried to go to work last Thursday morning, so I took it to Jim's shop. It took all day to get the transmission out of the truck, but by 10pm we had found the problem and replaced the broken part.

The next day we had the trans back in by 2pm, and reverse worked great, but then the forward didn't. Ahh! We took the trans back out yesterday morning (by this time, we could do it quicker), found & fixed the problem, put it back in, and it runs like a champ!!

I have spent a lot of time thanking the Lord for guiding Jim's hand in this. What would have normally cost me $1500 in a transmission shop, cost me $100 in parts. Thank you LORD, and thank you Jim!!

My day is brighter, and we're doing some Christmas shopping this afternoon.

Whew ~ glad you got a break on the cost & your truck is running like a champ again! Nice to have a brother/mechanic!

We're sprucing up the house for a visiting friend. We'll all go out for lunch, then come back here to visit and exchange gifts. It'll be a dual celebration, because Hanukkah begins this evening, so we can celebrate both holidays!

Hope everyone is enjoying their Sundays!!!!! I'm just killing time until the Colts game tonight. Everyone is picking the Steelers but I think we can pull it off as long as our defense doesn't lay down on the job again.

Spent 5 hours with my step-father decorating his house with about 2/3 of my mom's village. View attachment 17075 My back is sore from bending over but I am very happy his house is now festive, especially now that mom is no longer around to decorate.

Looks amazing! Nice of you to set it up for him!! I'm sure it was bitter sweet for you!

Afternoon all, finally got the tree up in our house yesterday my toddler hasnt bothered with it too much just yet, we put it up whilst he was napping yesterday so was a lovely surprise for him when he woke up. Next project to get everything wrapped and under the tree

I've been running around like crazy, trying to catch up on the work I missed while I was out working on my truck. I can't believe it's afternoon already!

Nancy and I did a lot of Christmas yesterday in Savannah. Well, she did her shopping and I toted. I did all my shopping at Amazon.

Now I have to get my brother something really nice! What a lifesaver!
