Good evening,

A very long day today, it is such a strange December. It is sooooo slow at work, two weeks before Christmas and it has been a ghost town. The weather is too warm, between the nice weather and shopping online, it is really putting a damper on sales.
Today was ugly sweater day, I ended up disappointed in mine. I got the dreaded "it's such a cute sweater, it's not ugly" from way too many people. I don't want cute, I want ugly, back to the drawing board next year. This was what I wore today:

I am heading to bed, one more day until my day off.
9 more working days until vacation.

Good Morning MMC !

its party day here so most of it will be spent cooking, picking up the girls, baking, picking up ingredients we forgot to buy, picking up mom and then finally leaving for the party. Should be around 50 family members at this one.
Right now I am enjoy the peace of the morning, listening to Christmas music, enjoying the lights on our big tree and wondering where Penny put several of the decorations from the Christmas tree int h kitchen.
In case I do not get back here again today, have a great one everyone !!!
Just think, 2 weeks from now it will all be over and we will be relaxing in the glow of the day after.

Hello Made. I want cookies too! We made some last night (just frozen dough, so nothing too fancy).Anyway, I don't know why I never learn my lesson and let history repeat itself. Went to bed with a pan full of 12 cookies cooling...came in this morning to find a pan of two cookies (the ones in the very back) on the stove, and a very guilty looking Kimmie.


My fault for not feeding the poor baby.
It's actually my fault for forgetting to put the cookies away after they had cooled!

Happy Saturday!
I can't believe we're less than two weeks away now, I'm so excited! My husband and the girls all have to work today so I think I'm going to wrap some gifts and work on Christmas cards. My husband said he doesn't want to set the village up until we get the train set. Makes sense since it's going in to the display. The train is supposed to be here by Monday so give me a few more days, I promise I'll post pictures after it's set up. Oh and I bought the cutest Christmas dress for Maggie, can't wait until you see her in it!

Good morning everyone. My 3 year old nephew spent the night with us last night. Wow! It's been a while since we've had a little one that young so I'm out of practice. Poor little guy started not feeling well in the night and was up quite a bit.
He's kept us laughing, that's for sure! He can say some crazy stuff.

Good Afternoon, Christmas Friends! I have not been here for weeks and I miss it so much! 'Tis the season to be busy. I am out and about today trying to tie up all Christmas loose ends. The post office is really hopping these days, not so much the stores I've been in. Later on I will meet with my sister for Christmas cookie baking planning. It is really coming up quickly now. Very exciting and sometimes overwhelming. I usually keep a hot beverage nearby. I really like the fact that if I have a minute and I need a little break, I can flip on the TV and there is a Christmas movie playing on several channels.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far and you are enjoying the happiest time of year!

Nice to see you missiechick! Have fun baking cookies!!! I also love turning on the tv to Christmas 24/7! Love it! Have a great day!

you think that is crazy ? I have not worked since October the 7th, workmans comp turned me down for coverage (union fighting that one) start back to work this Monday but means I do not get a check till the 24th...that is when I have to go and get the gifts for my kids. AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!! But at least they are going to get something. I originally told them they would have to wait till January. I am so excited, I have not told them so they will be totally surprised on Christmas morning !

That will be a nice surprise for them!

Good afternoon/evening everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying the season. My fiance is home doing some major cleaning while I sit at the radio station running a local basketball game. We are a host home for a Parade of Homes for our church. It's our first time hosting and we are very excited. Hopefully everything goes well. She is such a trooper for doing a majority of the work while I'm stuck working. Man is time flying as usual this season, but I was able to relax and enjoy some movies this morning before going to work at the radio station (my part time job). Only 5 working days this year at my full time job (the University here) and then I don't return until next year!

I'm a little bummed that I have to work all day today. I'm way over hours and just feeling really run down. Hopefully this is the last major hurdle to Christmas, but I do have to work more hours than normal this week as well. Thoughts and prayers for energy and for smooth sailing are definitely appreciated.

CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 31​

Good Sunday Morning MMC! Ahh yes it's an honor once again to fill in for the legendary Crown. And this close to Christmas? Even more of an honor! HOW close to Christmas you ask? Let's just take a look.
Days to Christmas: 12 (1 dozen days left!)

Wow I guess the 12 days of Christmas song would pretty much start to apply right around now. Oh and today being the 13th of December means we celebrated the beginning of the Christmas season a full month ago. That just doesn't seem possible to me. I remember it like yesterday. Ahh well we may not be able to slow down the time but we can make the MOST of the time we have till Christmas. And I hope each and every one of you will do so. It doesn't get much more exciting than this guys being this close. The anticipation is building to a feverish pitch.

Good Sunday morning, my Christmas friends!

We went to Jacob's gig yesterday. It was a Christmas recital at the university. I haven't been on campus since I went there...in the '80's. I was completely lost. I don't know who designed the new roads and parking lots, but they need to turn in their architect's credentials!

The show was great, though. Mama went with us, then we all went out for lunch. No shopping!! Woo hoo!! I came home and finally cut the grass. I know the neighbors are relieved.

Jacob has another recital this afternoon, so we have to have a quick lunch after church, and get on the road again.

I never got a chance to log in last night, I passed out on the couch watching a movie around 9pm. The late nights and work finally caught up with me.

Oh look at that little sweetie!!!!! I'm sure it wasn't her that ate your cookies. You probably had a mouse in your house! I'm shocked that Gracie didn't steal even 1 cookie yesterday! She tried....
