Good Afternoon, friend~Good morning everyone.
My daughter has strep, so I'm home with her. I hate that she's sick but the day off and with my baby girl is nice (although every day I'm reminded that she's not a baby anymore).
I hope you all have a great day! I realized just how close Christmas is and how soon it will all be over. But, might as well live in the moment and not dwell on the future. So, I'm going to try and do something Christmassy today.

I went to my last city council meeting last night, and made my last decisions for the city. That was a little harder than I expected it to be, but it'll be ok. I hand-picked my replacement, and he's retired with lots of time, so he'll do great. He asked me to meet with him after he's sworn in, to give him some pointers.
Maybe I'll go back some time in the future, when I don't have so many family & work responsibilities.
Tonight is my company office party, and it seems like I'm the only one working today! They need to get to work! LOL

The current prediction for a high temperature on Christmas Day is...66 degrees (at least with sun) but wow. I know that can change from now till then but if we have 2 years in a row where we have temperatures reaching 60 degrees on Christmas that's just insane. Normal high temperatures for my area on Christmas should be in the 35-39 range I believe.
