Hello all. Happy New Year's Eve. I can't wait for the opening of the new thread tonight, and the start of another year with all of you!

Indeed. New Year's Eve is here.
Last day of the year.
Final day for this thread, our friend and home for the past 365 days.

We will have 2016 with us just a little longer since it's a leap year. 366 days to post.
(But we will have to wait one day longer to start the Christmas Season!)

The rain continues to fall as I type this but starting tomorrow, we will be in for a dry, cold spell. At least there will be no ice and snow.

We're being very lazy today. We were up late last night watching movies downstairs on the big screen, so we got up late today. Later in the afternoon we'll order a pizza, and spend the evening watching more movies on the big screen. We both have various snacks that we indulge in once a year, on New Year's Eve. Just before midnight, we'll come up and watch the ball drop at Times Square, then watch the fireworks over Boston on TV. I'll be checking in here during the day and before I go to bed.

Monday will be the beginning of a very busy workweek for me---it seems like most of our clients want or need stuff early in January. Back to five-day workweeks (as opposed to taking carefully-hoarded days off during the Christmas season) and long, grinding workdays. But until then, we can kick back and be lazy at home for the next few days!

Good morning MMC! Happy New Years Eve! Friday Eve too! I wanted to make sure I got on here for the final day of the countdown. Sad to see the countdown close, but looking forward to the 2016 count. I'm bummed that today is the last day for 24/7 Christmas on tv! It just goes too fast!! Good thing I have a DVR FULL of Christmas movies. Not quite the same as watching on tv, but I'm glad to have them!
My plan for today is a trip to the grocery, then stopping at my friends house to drop some things off to her. She asked if I would have time for a NYE drink with her this afternoon. Well sure! Jim is working this morning but later this afternoon we will be heading out to the lake & we're spending the night there. We will walk up the Shack - they have a band & all the NYE party favors & food. Looking forward to it. We haven't spent NYE at the lake for several years.

Have a wonderful time at the lake! Sounds quite special especially as you haven't spent a NYE there for a while. It is sad to see the 24/7 Christmas channels go. We have a couple days before the switch over. I will miss it .... I will miss it all actually!!!

We are enjoying our week in the mountains, even if it is raining. It's hard to put into words how much I love it here!

Today is my last day as mayor of Bellville. I wish I had done more for my city, but I have confidence in the next mayor. No more parades!

Good Morning MMC and Happy New Years Eve! I hope everyone has had a fantastic 2015...even with the ups and downs that life inevitably brings. I am looking forward to a great 2016 and to a wonderful countdown to Christmas 2016 together with you all! It's been such a joy to be here with you! Good Thursday Morning MMC! Happy New Years Eve to all! 2015 has been an interesting year. I'm a little sad to see it go but I'm very excited for 2016. The new countdown thread should be up tonight and I'm excited to see it begin. A fresh new start for all of us. I'd have to say this Christmas season 2015 has been one of (if not the best) the best ever. But I still feel we can have even a better year and a better Christmas season in 2016. I'm going to IHOP today. I was going to go yesterday but since my brother was leaving for San Diego he came over for lunch. Ironically I went to IHOP last year on New Years Eve too. I really am too much a creature of habit .
I hope you all have a great final day of 2015. And I am excited for all of us to have a full year together in 2016 here at the best place on earth...MMC!
