Christmas Countdown - 2016

So far 2016 has started off well, sitting here watching the Winter Classic. My beloved Bruins vs the Canadiens, the Bruins maybe losing right now, but I love the spectacle of the outdoor game.
I ran out to return the movies to the Redbox, and decided to run to Kmart just to see the Christmas leftovers.
It was my lucky day, the still had one fabric mache Santa left, like the Possible Dreams Santa's I collect. One week after Christmas and one left just for me, just like last year! Last year was the day after Christmas though. This one has Santa holding a bottle of red wine and a glass, my wife loves wine, each Santa I collect seems to be doing something someone in my family loves to do.
I'll take this as a sign 2016 is going to be a good year.

I'm thinking the tree will come down next weekend. I told Mr. I'd miss the cheery glow during the dark winter evenings. He suggested that I put up a tabletop tree with white lights when the big tree comes down. A great idea! I'll put a little snowman next to it, maybe.

I'm already thinking about what I can let up & what will be coming down & what snowmen will be going up. Hubby is already rolling his eyes. LOL!!! But I'm not going to think too much about it for another week! Happy New Year Merry!

Good evening or early morning, MMC! Hope you all had a fabulous New Years Day! It was nice here. We got together with my family for pork, kraut, and hot dogs. It was yummy. It was laid back day, which I was glad for, since I worked last night.

Later today, we'll be heading to my uncle's for our last Christmas. I love that we spread our Christmases out here in my family, because it keeps the holiday going. We won't be taking our decorations down until after the 6th - we keep them up for the Epiphany. I'll keep my snowmen up then until spring.

Happy 2016, again friends! It's going to be a wonderful year!!!

Thank you sugar! Gracie is doing well! She is going to be so devastated when I have to go back to work Monday. (as well as me) Back to reality!!! But she had a great holiday season & birthday. Our house has been busy with family & friends visiting the last week & that is what she is all about - she loves it! :) Hope your four babies (2 & 4 legged - ha ha) are having a wonderful Christmas season too!

Ella, Nittany, and the kids are doing great. Nittany is growing like a weed and keeps us entertained. Ella has taken her under her wing - just like a mom and her pup. Love it!

Love it sugar! We had friends over today to watch the bucks & I told them all to wear sweats....most did & my friend came in her slippers too. Now that is a relaxing day. LOL!! Sounds like you had a yummy & nice day also! My decs always stay up until after the epiphany too. I'm happy to have another week. Enjoy!

That's how I was today - I didn't get dressed up. It was a very relaxing day!!! :)

I didn't mean to leave Ella out of the joy & laughs...I just know how crazy new puppies are. LOL!!! Love both your poochies!!!
Enjoy your evening (or should I say nearly middle of the night....) :p:D It's going to be hard for me to get back on schedule. :eek:
