Crown and All,

Congrats on another great year. The Countdown is the very heartbeat of MMC and it thrills me to see the activity and especially the caring -- the Christmas! -- that goes on in this thread year after year.

I would add a footnote to your 2015 numbers due to our upgrade in forum software. The post count MIGHT have been inaccurate by the time we got to the end of the year due to transfer of the database. The reasons are technical but I have suspicions that ALL of our counts for 2015 we off because of the move.

That being said, I'll boldly predict a big bounce back year in 2016 for this thread.

Thank you all for your ongoing Christmas spirit and kindness. Here's to a great year in 2016!

Morning all. Back to work unfortunately, but it has to be done. We took the decorations down at the weekend. That job never gets any easier, what a come down. Anyway have a good start to the week everyone.

No it does not! I am not looking forward to it! Hope your 1st day back to work goes well!!

have to go to Port Huron today but after checking the weather not sure we will, may wait till tomorrow.
Also have to finish off the cake for mom and visit my doc so he can approve me going back to work for longer shifts I hope.

Hey everybody!!! Hope you start to feel better soon Sam - nothing worse xx As for me, 3 of the routes out of town are now flooded and the 4th and last is under a warning - and the rain is set to continue until Thursday. Some muppet yesterday decided that he and his land rover type vehicle weren't included when they put up "road closed" signs and ended up having to be rescued by 4 fire engines and a boat!!! So, today, I shall a) have a coffee and banana muffin b) take down Christmas *sniff c) get my nails done (less Christmas, more business) d) Keep an eye on the updates and figure out how the heck I'm going to get to work tomorrow!!!! Have a great Monday everybody

Good morning all! Happy Monday! I sure am tired. I worked most of the last two weeks but managed to sneak in a few days off too, so staring at a full work week is a little bit of a bummer. But hey-one step at a time will get us to the finish line so quickly! Never want to wish time away.

Good Monday Morning MMC! Happy New Year! Oh wait that was Friday but today feels like a new year. At least it is a new year at work for me...and I know for many of us. I hope you all are well rested and ready to begin the year. I know that I am. I slept plenty and rested plenty the last 5 days I was off. It's a little sad to go back to the real world but without that we would not appreciate the Christmas season as much as we do.

Good morning everyone ~
My husband heads back to work today and we will all settle back in to our normal routines. It's going to be a busy day for me. My youngest was not feeling well last night so I'm going to call her doctor as soon as they open and see if I can get her in. I also have to drive my mother to an eye doctor appointment this afternoon. And I need to run to the florist to order flowers. We have to attend a wake this evening, my daughters boyfriends Uncle passed away. He had Leukemia and was only 53 years old. So sad.
I will be on the run most of the day but will pop in when I get a chance.

And what better way to start the week than to realize that we are, as of today, just TWO WEEKS away from the first Milestone of the 2016 Countdown Season, the 300-day Season Window.
(Just think. In 14 measly days, we will already be down into the 200's!)


Chilly but clear all day yesterday. Tonight and tomorrow night, we will be venturing down into low 20's territory with cold highs both days. No precipitation predicted, however.
Right now, we are experiencing 35 degrees here in the capital city.

Good Morning, Everyone! It is cold here in southeast Wisconsin, 21 degrees F ! We have a nice snow cover now and for the last few days you could hear the snowmobiles in the surrounding fields. Where was this weather for Christmas??!!
I am really enjoying this snow, but feeling bad for the flood victims. What a horrible way to spend Christmas and start a new year.
Anyway, I hope everyone is starting their day/week cheerfully!

It's hard to imagine hearing snowmobiles. We have green grass....with dandelions growing. In January! What the heck!! Stay warm & have a great day!

Good morning all my wonderful friends. So last night was first day back at work since Christmas shutdown and it was a busy night with me fixing all kinds of network issues. Lucky it was only Nissan lines working last night and VW and Honda have not started back up yet. Glad that it was busy or i would have died thinking how slow the first night back was. SO hope everyone has a wonderful monday and happy new year again

It's back to routine for us also and I am getting the kids sorted for school/nursery. I woke up with a very sore throat and temperature. Seems to be one bug after the next in our house these days. Ahh well tis the season
