TGIF, my Christmas friends!

It's rainy and cool here this morning, but it's supposed to clear up this afternoon. Sunny and 70°F tomorrow, baby!

Doug is still standing. Elizabeth named our tree Doug for Douglas Fir, and I have to say, I really like that variety better than our usual Fraser Fir. I think he's coming down tomorrow, though. Then it's off to the pond to provide shelter (and Christmas) for all those big bass I'm trying to raise! ;)

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Good Weekend Eve Morning, Friends of the Holidays far and wide!

And good news, Guys.
As of tomorrow, we will be down to SINGLE DIGITS to our first Milestone of the Christmas Season 2016 countdown!

Days to the Season: 310
Days to Christmas Day: 352

Yes, Folks. Hard though it may be to believe, we are only 10 days away from the 300-day Season Window and the beginning of a 200's level Season count sequence!

Still chilly but not too bad considering it is early January. Possible rain today but not of the frozen type.
We record 43 rather damp degrees at this hour here in the Capital City of the great state of North Carolina, home of the Panthers!

Have a Fabulous Friday, Everyone!
Thanks, Crown.
Have a wonderful day!

Good morning everyone !
going to be another nice weather day here then on Monday we are to be back to our regularly scheduled snow.

We are starting on the basement, organizing and packing and getting rid of things we really should not be hanging on to any more, you know those "why do we have this anyway" stuff.

I work...for pay...this afternoon for 4 hours then have the weekend off. Next week I am back to a regular work schedule.

Hope you all have a fantastic day !!!
Glad you'll be back to your regular schedule next week!
Good luck with the packing.
Hope you have a great day!

make mine with heavy cream and it is better than with the evaporated milk
3/4 cup brown sugar
5 eggs
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp salt
1 can or 2 cups of pumpkin
1 cup heavy cream
mix well together then
pour in crust then cover crust with foil for first 30 min of baking, then remove for last 10 to 20 min
bake 325' for total of 40 to 50 min till firm

That must be the trick - you have another egg in yours than I do. When I used straight heavy cream the end-product was... is fluffy the right word? LOL I think it is. Almost like a mousse, but I never stirred it enough to warrant a whipped cream consistency. That's when I mixed cream and milk half and half and it turned out well. I'll have to try it again with another egg. :-)

Merry Friday! I hope you all have a good day. Quiet weekend ahead...my younger daughter has her first basketball game tomorrow morning. Otherwise we will just be hanging out. We are going to take down the tree this weekend...I will miss the lights but I think I will leave out my snowmen for a bit.
I guess you had already answered my question! ;)
Hope your daughter's first basketball game goes well, and she has fun with her team.
I wish you much relaxation! Enjoy your weekend!

My question is - was it a course in dealing with customers who are angry, or for you dealing with your own moments of customer rage? Like 'Road rage." Sometimes I am mystified by the level of restraint and calm some people are expected to demonstrate while someone is screaming at them about something ridiculous, just because the screamer is a 'customer.'

I watched a manager at Save A Lot smile patiently while some outraged woman screamed in his face because they were sold out of eggs on Christmas Eve. Because that's surprising? He just smiled and nodded and told her he was very sorry for the inconvenience and he would be happy to give her a rain check for the egg price, but another truck wouldn't be in till December 26th. She just kept yelling and yelling. He kept smiling and nodding. I thought, "Wow - I would have stabbed her with a stick of butter by now."

It is a course dealing with customer rage. Course starts with talking about what work place violence is and what management and workers are expected to do in case it happens, from fellow workers and customers. Then goes into talking about what anger is, physical reactions and emotional. How some rage leads to good things happening. (eg civil rights movement) Then starts into the steps of dealing with rage. That is as far as I am in the course, but so far has been really good.

Glad you're enjoying it! :D

Poor Doug!!! ;) (too funny) People do that here too - they throw their Christmas tree's in the channels, close to the docks for the fish. I'm sure Doug will miss being in your home & part of your daily family life! :)
Have a great day Brad!

Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's going to be a warm but rainy day here which is just fine with me. Not much going on here today. Just need to run and pick up some sympathy cards for my cousins after my great aunt passed yesterday. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!

Good morning MMC!! HAPPY FRIDAY!!! Happy RAINY Friday!!! It's supposed to rain the next couple days & then SNOW on Sunday!!
:snowball:snowhappy
My MIL's birthday "party" went really well last night. I must say the food was delicious, with very few leftovers - loving our smoker! :) My Mom came over too, as well as Jims aunt, for a total of 15 people. It was a good night. I was a little bummed after it was all over - that was the last of our "holiday" gatherings at our house. I told myself I would be taking down my Christmas after my MIL's bday party. Boooo! :( BUT it's Friday, we made it through the 1st full work week of the year & I'm not going to let it get me down!!!

Have a wonderful day gang!!

Good morning, Holiday!
Merry Friday!
Glad that y'all had fun at your MIL Birthday party! Hope she had a beautiful day.
Thinking of you as you take down your Christmas decorations, don't forget you have Christmas in your heart year round <3 And us to lean on!
Have an awesome day!

Good morning everyone, Happy Friday!
Not too much going on here today, typical day of errands and chores. Getting back in to my exercise routine today, I need to lose my five pound holiday weight gain. I hope it comes off easily. We're also going to the car dealer later this evening to pick up a new car for my youngest, she is super excited. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
