Oh yeah been there done that before . This winter haven't had to but it's still a long way to go before we're out of the woods for snow. Try to avoid the ice if you can. I've had a few falls or near-falls lol.

I still remember my favorite snow day. They were late making the decision to close; I walked to school, and when I got to my homeroom, the books we had ordered from Scholastic Book Services had come in, so they passed them out. A few minutes later they announced that those who walked to school could go home, and that they would be taking the bus-riding students back home. So I got a snow day with three brand new books to devour!

Nice. Those snow day memories are fun. I just remember being around the radio on the mornings listening for our school to be closed. Sometimes you'd start with a delay and then you'd hear the schools around you are starting to close and the anticipation would build...until finally you heard your school was closed! Fun times. I think we all need to be given at least 1 snow day per year at all jobs...where we can all stay home, get paid to go out and play in the snow!

Maybe if it happens on a Saturday and I can stay home and play in it!

You have to be specific when talking to mother nature! I think enough snow to not have to go to work would be amazing!!

The snow has been wonderful! It is still snowing lightly right now. My wife and I teach in different districts, and often I will be closed and she will not, but today we are both closed! We are happy and the kids of course are happy. Henry, my youngest is ready to go out and play in the snow. I told him we would go out in a bit. He asks about every 2 minutes if I am ready to go outside. Here is comes again. lol

I scored me a ticket to the Panthers/Seahawks game Sunday! Weather looks to be cold but at least above freezing. I need to dig out my thermal socks and undergarments for this trip. Go Panthers!

When the weather makes it too treacherous to commute, I have to work from home. Not the same as a real snow day!

Snow days are great. We just sit around the house and play games, watch movies, enjoy a fire.
When I lived in Tennessee several years ago, I worked as a Corrections Officer at Riverbend Maximum Security Prison. Though we did not get snow often, when we did the roads were awful. However, there was no such thing as a snow day. My drive to work was normally about 45 minutes, but on those days it took take nearly 2 hours! Having been through that, I really appreciate my snow days.

Good Morning, MMC!!!! I'm reporting in from a whiteout. The snow is coming down in heavy white flakes and the wind is blowing it everywhere. I'm glad I don't have to go out in it. Not to much on my agenda for today. Just going to be doing some cleaning and trying to stay warm. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY and Stays Safe out there!!!!!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

We took Elizabeth to dance class last night, and while she was dancing, we met with Jacob's best friend's mom for dinner. Her husband passed away last year, so she's raising her son by herself. but she's remarkably strong and self-reliant. She and Nancy are planning some more senior events for the boys' last year of high school.

I have to take Elizabeth to get her learner driving permit tomorrow. How can she be that old?!?

It's still cold down here! It was 26°F again this morning with a hard frost. I had the presence of mind to crank my truck earlier this morning, though.

Good evening everyone. I ended up going out with a friend of mine for dinner. We met at The Cheesecake Factory, had a couple of glasses of wine, ate, talked & laughed. We go way back and don't get to see each other that often so it was really nice to catch up. Sometimes last minute plans work out the best.

Good Tuesday Morning MMC! Well on my daily run at 5:30 AM on work days this morning I saw dark houses the first few blocks. I started to think maybe that was it for Christmas lights. However, the 2nd half of my run I saw several houses lit up! Even a few houses that weren't lit on Monday that I figured were done had their lights on this morning! I'm glad to see it on January 12th. Not sure how much longer it will last but it definitely is helping keep away any January blues. We will receive some snow showers this afternoon but nothing more than a coating at worst. It would have been nice if we could have had that on Christmas Eve but maybe this year .

Good morning, Happy Tuesday!
I'm watching the news and relaxing with a cup of coffee. Everyone will be waking up soon so I need to get started on breakfast in a few minutes. My oldest is starting a new job today at a laser skin care and aesthetics center. They are one of the top rated centers on Long Island, she's really excited that she got in there. I hope she loves it, fingers crossed!
I have a few errands to run today, I have to return something at Kohls. I also need to pick up pill pockets for Maggie at the pet store and stop at the supermarket for a few things. Other than that I'll be working on my daily chores and squeezing a workout in at some point. That's about it for me.
