I still remember my favorite snow day. They were late making the decision to close; I walked to school, and when I got to my homeroom, the books we had ordered from Scholastic Book Services had come in, so they passed them out. A few minutes later they announced that those who walked to school could go home, and that they would be taking the bus-riding students back home. So I got a snow day with three brand new books to devour!

I use to love the Scholastic book orders, my kids still get them from time to time from their teachers. I think I like looking at the brochures more than they do.
That is a great snow day memory, thanks for sharing.

Oh yeah been there done that before . This winter haven't had to but it's still a long way to go before we're out of the woods for snow. Try to avoid the ice if you can. I've had a few falls or near-falls lol.

I scored me a ticket to the Panthers/Seahawks game Sunday! Weather looks to be cold but at least above freezing. I need to dig out my thermal socks and undergarments for this trip. Go Panthers!

We rarely get snow days here. Sometimes the very first snowfall if it's significant, or a rather large storm.
At my morning meetings today, some of the guys didn't come because of the cold. Really?! I'm out there, prepared for the weather, but still freezing, I didn't know that was an option

Really? The cold? They need to put on their big boy pants and suck it up. The cold is invigorating, and it wakes you up faster than coffee ever could.

So, here I am still laid up with a broken fibula in the left leg. Hopefully I can try to get to work on Thursday for a couple of hours after my orthopedic appointment. This is getting old really fast. I have to say I wish they had put a cast on my foot/leg rather than the boot. The boot is flexible, which actually makes it harder to get around. It's also, (honestly, I swear) heavier than the cast I had when I broke my foot. I feel like I'm dragging a ball and chain around. Ah well, hopefully the doctor will tell me something nice like I can sleep without this nuisance on my leg. But maybe not. We'll see.

I hope your leg is healing up for you, it really stinks being unable to do much of anything because of it.
