I went out this evening and Christmas stuff is 70% off still. Yep it's still Christmas around these parts! I bought one wrapping paper. I bought one last year in January with a similar sale. Partially cause it's cheap but more because I keep it out all year where it's visible in the corner of my bedroom. Just little reminders of Christmas I like to keep. But I do plan on taking my tree down on Sunday!

Great deal on the wrapping paper! I went to Hallmark again this afternoon and bought more ornaments for 75% off. I went a little overboard but they're so hard to resist at that price!

I don't do an extensive stretch, just enough to loosen the legs up a bit. 5 min max. Do you run for a certain distance or time (I've got 5 years on you also...right in between you and your friend ;))
Well I got back into running a few years ago because of him. I was into it as a kid. I started just running a mile and then went to like 3, then 5 and some times I got to about 7 miles but now I run pretty much 3 miles a day. I decided that if I'm gonna run every day I can't kill my legs by running marathons and stuff. I definitely feel it a little more now but most days when I go to run I feel happy to do it. It's easier on weekends though when I can run around 10AM and it's sunny out instead of 5:30AM before work.

No need to rush taking them down :D
Have a good day at work!
My wife was reminding me today I need to take down the trees. I think she is getting a little annoyed now.

Thanks Stacey, he is doing much, much better. Mr F however is home sick today. He'll be fine, just this winter virus that is going around.

Glad you get a warm up to give you a break from the cold. Look after yourself though with these drastic fluctuations in temps. Enjoy your walk with Har!
Have a good day!
I hope Mr. F is feeling better.

Good Thursday Morning MMC! Wow a little surprise we got a coating of snow overnight. It looks a little like Christmas out. I got 2 numbers in the lotto and got 0 dollars lol. I'm glad someone won though because some people were going crazy spending insane money on the lottery. Anyway, it's Thursday but feels like it's been a long week. Oh well it will be a good day I feel today. I am rearranging my plans for Saturday since I will work till noon and cutting out the "unfun chores" and adding in only the fun stuff. I'm not gonna let a weekend go by without prioritizing fun/relaxation BEFORE errands :).
Have a great Thursday aka Friday Eve everyone!
I am glad the madness is over, we spent more money on the Powerball tickets the last week and a half than the last 2 years combined. We spent a total of....wait for it.....$6 on lottery tickets.
I just don't believe wasting too much money on it. We bought one ticket in each of the last three drawings. I was happy we had one lonely little shot at the jackpot, but I wasn't going to risk my mortgage like so many people probably did.

I never ran until I lost the 60lbs almost 2 years ago. One of my goals for losing the weight was to do a 5k with my daughter (there's a 5k that benefits her old grade school that she runs) and it kinda snowballed from there. I want to be able to say that I have ran a half and full marathon so I'm going to train here soon for a half (I can get the radio station employee discount for the half :jump) in May. Then it'll be the full hopefully the following year, then it's back to 5k's. Currently I'm only running 2 miles since life got hectic and I got out of running for a few weeks. I wish I could run before work, but I start work at my full time job at 5am. I'm NOT getting up at 3 to run before work!! Not when my average bedtime is 10pm. Weekends are better though, I agree with that!

Mine is also chomping at the bit to get our decorations down. I just have to bring up the totes that we store them in. Been busy so I haven't had time to bring them up yet.

I know what you mean! Last night on the way home from work, I saw houses that had been dark for a week or more now had their Christmas lights on again. I wondered why, and Mr. nailed it ... we had a little snow Tuesday night, and that made people want to turn on their lights again! I was late getting home last night, so it was a treat to see so many lights again.
They look so much better when there is snow on the ground, it just screams Christmas.

Uh huh. I still claim pizza is good for us and nobody will change my mind that it's not!
It's got bread- the crust
vegetables- tomato sauce (or others)
dairy- cheese
meat- pepperoni (and others)

Good evening,

Just another normal Thursday in January, not much going on in these parts. I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact it was Christmas Eve 3 weeks ago tonight, it feels like a lot longer than it has been.
I think my time has come for some shut-eye.

Goodnight, everyone.

I completely agree. LOL It's actually why we (my parents and I) ended up moving to Florida when I was younger, because they were both originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and were so sick of driving and shoveling snow, they bailed for warmer climates.

I totally understand why adults in the north can't stand January and February. Same reason most southerners dread July and August. LOL They're the worst months of the year meteorological-ly speaking.

About the dry season versus rainy season... it's rainy from March through the beginning of mid November. Hurricane season is June 1st through November 30th. Though we've seen bad hurricanes in December too. The one which flooded our home that I lost that Christmas album to hit the day after Christmas. Then it's usually quite dry from the beginning of December, through the end of February. Quite rare to have rain now. They'll start issuing burn bans by the beginning of February.

Sink holes.... yes, they're awful. Actually has most to do with the fact that our population has grown beyond the capacity of the natural aquifer. The geological base of Florida is limestone. It's porous and when it dries it become brittle. Most of south Florida actually no longer has a natural water reservoir of consumable water. So they pipe the water to south Florida in from north Florida. Most residents are completely unaware of this. They just assume, they turn on the faucet and it came from a local water piping facility. As the limestone decays it become brittle and collapses. Thus random sinkholes. Most of the 60s, 70s and beginning 80s, central Florida had numerous phosphate strip mining pits. Once dug out completely and no longer producing, they backfill them, let it set for 20 years, then sell it to developers for homes. That too is porous and lacking any real structure. It leads to more sinkholes and surface/environmental toxins.

Okay... Sorry. ROFL ... I'm having the Cuba Gooding Jr moment from As Good As It Gets. He gets upset with Jack Nicholson's character , claps his hands, regains his composure, adjusts his tie, turns around and essentially skips back to the party saying, "Party!" LOL

Sooooo - "Party!"
LOL I love that movie!
I was surprised about the limestone structure when I watched the documentary. In a way , it was kind of good to see the rational behind it all and understand how it could happen because I have such a fear of Sinkholes (and tornadoes lol). That is quite scary about the backfilling!
Anyway thanks for the reply!
Party!m LOL!
