Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good afternoon!
Been sleeping after the kids went to school.
Have a little fever...
But I have to drive T to work soon, and do some grocery shopping
before heading home to make dinner.
And then drive Isak to Birthday. Pick up my daughter from the gym,
and tonight pick up T again at the airport.
So who have time to be sick? Not me...

I'm a little bit anxious about driving.
I fell off a horse Thursday night. She fell (in her own feet) and I flew off...
Hiiiha...
I didn't hurt myself I thought, and got up at the horse again
But the same evening my knee got worse and worse
And I haven't been able to walk properly on the foot...
Well, I do walk on the foot now, but I have to keep my knee still
so it looks kinda strange ...
And therefore I am a bit anxious to drive...
And in this weather.. We finally got snow, lots of it..
It almoust dangerous to drive outside..

Falling off the horse sounds pretty scary, I hope your knee is feeling better.

I put them up when I got home. I haven't had time to take my trees down yet. I said to my wife,"here it is January 17th and I am still hanging ornaments on the tree."
I am hoping Wednesday to do it.

No long weekend here either...my boss needs me lol. Barnes & Nobles and Friendlys? 2 of my favorites that closed the last couple of years here!

I live minutes from Friendly's home office, and where they make some of the ice cream.

I hope you all have a great Martin Luther King Day whether you are working like I am or lucky enough to have the day off...just remember his words because he was a very wise man and unfortunately in 2015 there's still many people around who need to be reminded of what he said and what he stood for because in today's world we still see way too much hatred vs. color, religion, and people for no reason. It's sad.

Well, winter is surely here, and if yesterday's snow flurries didn't confirm it, this morning's temperature reading of 28 degrees and this afternoon's predicted high of 34 does.
But no matter. The Panther victory yesterday has provided all the warmth my heart needs (at least until next Sunday).

I can't speak for Nevada, but I DO know that there are fireflies outside of Kansas. I grew up in Maryland, and one of my fondest memories is fireflies in the summertime. It was so magical to look out across a field or a dark stand of trees and see their lights floating around, winking and blinking. I don't see them in New England, and I miss them.

We do have fireflies in Western Massachusetts, very heavily late June, early July.

Absolutely. That first step is the most important in a way because as I told Holiday earlier once we now go into the "2"s to me it means simply any PCB'S are done cause now we're looking ahead not backwards.

so glad to be home, tonight's meeting cancelled as it is snowing blowing and the roads are unsafe. I am fine with that as it is so nice to be home where it is cozy and warm !

Please pray for Abby, my eldest's cat. It was discovered when vet opened her up that she had closed pyrometra.

This is a dangerous and life threatening condition. Fortunately they caught it just in time but Abby is looking at a long recovery and will be on meds for awhile. Abby is with me until tomorrow evening when her mom gets off work. Thanks, my daughter is quite upset and worried about Abby.

Abby and your daughter are both in my thoughts.

A long one here today, I am fighting the battle of keeping the eyelids open.
I did some reading on the possible snowstorm this weekend, the early prognostications are saying 6-10 inches of snow Friday night through Saturday. It could be lower amounts or higher amounts, or it could just blow out to sea. Who knows?
One more day, then dayoff .

I am doing okay- it's been a whirlwind day. Work has been busy, and I had an appointment over lunch, and will have one after work this evening. I had to change them from last week, since Adi was away. So, I'll be extra exhausted when I return home tonight.

Oh dear. Sounds like a very busy day indeed! I hope you got through it fine and got plenty of rest and an early night. Praying you feel rested and well this morning. Hope your appointments went well.

Mr F is feeling better although not 100%. He was exhausted. Isaac did great. He was happy to be back at Nursery. He loves it there.

LOL well no harm being done.
I still have shelf ornaments up that I need to take down and store away. It feels so natural to have them up that I don't even find them out of place LOL!
