I dropped it off this morning when I went to get Moms cough drops since she works right next door to the quick stop! She was surprised. She thought it turned out really well! Thanks!

Evening friends. A couple of hectic days are ahead, but I'm planning a few days off at the end of the month so focusing on that. This blasted chest infection is still lingering though which is annoying to say the least. Hope everyone is having a good week so far.

Thank you ... but look after yourself first. My troubles are trivial compared with what you're going through right now.

I think my answer may be a new dentist. A friend of ours has recommended one very highly who works out payment plans with her. Ours wants 100% up front the day the work is done. This is the office that took over our previous dentist's practice when he retired. I sure miss him!!

WOW that does seem crazy they won't set up a payment plan. Hope it all works out well for you Merry!

We had an okay night, I didn't sleep well- had nightmares & my heart was racing, so it was tough to fall back asleep.
It's going to be hard leaving today, but I'm thankful my friend will be looking in on her.

Thank you so much for thinking of me. I woke up not feeling as much side effects from the meds so my body is probably adjusting now. There has been slight improvement but I am reminding myself it's only the 3rd day so I am sure things will improve at a quicker pace as the days progress.

Thinking of you and Har today.

Good Wednesday Morning MMC! I got to work an hour early today. More overtime this week. I've been consistently getting a few hours or more of OT this year so far. I'm not complaining about the extra $. But it just makes me appreciate the weekends even a tiny bit more and being able to not have to rush out early. And this weekend coming especially I'm glad I won't have to because the temps are going to be bitter cold. I'm hopeful this will be our coldest stretch of the winter. By next week it's supposed to moderate at least in to the 30s and 40s. That will feel like Florida compared to this weekend. Am I mentioning the word "weekend" too many times when it's only Wednesday? By the way I saw a few houses lit again as I drove to work. Crazy huh? Feb 10! Keep it going till the end of Feb I say!

Cold here and it will get progressively colder until the weekend when we are predicted to get down into the middle teens, with a wind chill near zero.
At least there has been no precipitation of any kind.
We have started this chilly one off at 27 degrees here in the capital city.


OK, Friends. Open house day once again at the 'Pines!
(And don't worry - there are no more ground hog leftovers.)
Not sure what Carl has planned for this evening's entertainment but it is sure to be - um - interesting.

Good morning MMC! Happy Hump/Pines Day! What a morning! Got a call at 6:45 - Mom thinks she has pneumonia! She didn't sleep well last night due to the coughing + she took Nyquil, so that made her "dopey" (her words! ) My sis checked in on her at 7. I stopped on my way to work & she wanted me to get her some cough drops. I stopped at work to see if they needed anything here - got her cough drops & made her a hot toddy (minus the whiskey ) She thought that helped to calm her cough a little. My brother stopped to check on her while I was there. I came back to work & my other sister was on her way there - she is taking her to the doc at 10:45. I finally got to work a little after 9....and it already seems like I've been here a full day! What the heck?! Hopefully some good drugs will help her out & she won't need to be admitted to the hospital. xx
That's been about all that's going on here today! LOL Have a wonderful day MMC!!! (It's cold outside!)

I'm sorry to hear about your mom being so sick. Bless her heart, it's frightening when older folks get that sick. Praying she gets better soon!

Mama took my brother to the emergency room night before last, and he has pneumonia, too. It seems he waits until he just can't move, then he goes to the ER. It's always a little scary with him, though. As a transplant kidney recipient, he's on immunosuppressive drugs, so it's harder for him to get over illnesses.

He could use prayers, too!

Oh my, that is horrible that the vet did not add the diagnosis to Har's chart! So glad it turned out okay, but I do hope the vet who messed up gets a lecture on where s/he went wrong!
