Have a wonderful rest of your Friday Eve!

Good Morning, friends~

Merry Friday Eve!

Update on Harlowe:
I Spoke to her vet yesterday, and she wants me to finish the antibiotics for her infection, wait a week to make sure it's cleared up and no further signs of it, and if all good-then re-introduce her 3 associated heart meds. Starting with the heart med for her enlarged heart. Just one at a time. Even though she is fairly confident that it was the infection making her so sick, she wants to be cautious. Then, after a week of doing okay with that, introduce the antibiotic associated with the dental, and then the lung meds. She just wants to make sure they're not interacting together for Har, either.
I asked her again about the size of them, and if she could have them cut even smaller, and she suggested buying a pill cutter at a pharmacy. I didn't know they were available to us, so hopefully that will help with getting her to take them better.
Harlowe had an okay day yesterday, stomach has been upset. But she isn't physically getting sick, thankfully. And is eating & drinking fine. Poor thing, you could hear her belly, it was so loud. Fingers crossed its a better day for her.

We have a weekend of beautiful weather coming up, and I'm looking forward to it!

Wishing you a cozy & blessed day!

Good morning Snowflake, Merry Friday Eve!
Sounds like a good plan for Har, hoping and praying she takes the medicine for you ♥
I use a pill cutter for Maggie's meds, I got it in Rite Aid. Her pills are pretty small but I still quarter them. Makes it much easier to hide them in food!
Sending lots of love, positive thoughts and hugs your way ♥
I hope you have a wonderful day!
xoxo

Merry Friday Eve, HmG!
Thanks so much ❤️
Glad to hear that a pill cutter works well for Maggie!
Thanks for the continued love, support, encouragement, and prayers.
Hope you have a blessed day~
I'll be thinking of you and your friend today.
Xoxo

Good morning everyone ~
Just a quick hello, we will be attending my friends moms funeral this morning. I have to get everyone up and moving in a couple of minutes. I will try and pop back in later this afternoon.
I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!
xx
{{{Hugs}}} to you all.
Continued prayers & strength, friend.

Good morning everyone. Sorry I have been a way for a few days. The household has been passing around sickness. While I am feeling better, though my voice is still funky, my youngest has taken up the banner of illness. So, he is home from school for the second day. So, here I am as well. Luckily he does not feel too bad. He has a cough and a low grade fever, but it is enough that he cannot go to school. Our school has been devastated by illness for the last few weeks. I am sure the crazy weather does not help.
Anyway, I hope everyone has a great day. My son is a Christmas fanatic like the rest of us here, so we will probably watch a Christmas show or two today. :chatter Yesterday we watched a bunch of Christmas cartoons, Tom and Jerry, Bugs Bunny and stuff like that.:locotree

Thank you, Sam~

I am feeling pretty optimistic about things.
I really pray that the meds don't interact negatively with each other, because I want to get them in her system as soon as possible, and get in a routine for her.
It will definitely be a challenge to get them all in her, and twice a day. But I'm inventing new ways for her to take them, I never really thought outside the box before.

One thing I don't know if I mentioned here is that Patty, a good friend of mine from Las Vegas, recently told me that Chico (her Chihuahua that passed last year) was diagnosed with heart disease after we moved away. She asked what prescriptions Harlowe's vet had prescribed, and so I told her. She said that those were the same ones that Chico was on, and that they did him a world of good. Chico was older than Harlowe, and she said he had been showing the symptoms for quite some time, but since they are often associated with other issues, they didn't realize. So once he got on them, she said it was only a couple of weeks and it was like night and day. He felt so much better, energetic, no more coughing spells, like a puppy and not a senior. He lived for three more years after he was diagnosed, and didn't even pass from the heart disease. That was very uplifting to hear.

Thanks, we may even grill out. I am craving steak & pork chops!

How are the boys today?
Continued prayers for them!
Hey now that's is really positive about Chico's experience. Prayers that Har has the same or even better results on these meds and that they don't interact negatively. Excellent that you are coming up with new ways to giver her the meds. I am glad you are feeling more hopeful about things . I know it's been such a struggle for you of late with regard to Har. Prayers continue.

The boys are okay but still unwell. Isaac has come down with what Jacob has. He just can't seem to catch a break. His cough has been bad today too. But they are in good spirits nevertheless. Thanks for asking!

Grilling out sounds great!!! Reminds me that Spring/Summer is on it's way and you what ... I can't wait :)

Sorry to hear your son is not well and that you all have been going through a phase of illness. It's been the same at our house too. I hope everyone gets well soon at your house and stays that way!
Enjoy the movie and home time.

Good Morning, Folks!

Closing in now.
Closing in on SINGLE DIGITS to our next Milestone.

Days to the Season: 269
Days to Christmas Day: 311

Yes, my Friends.
As of the day after tomorrow -- February 20 -- we will indeed be single digits away from the 300 day Christmas Day Marker, our third Milestone of the 2016 Countdown.
And then. THEN. A double-200's level count begins!

Pretty nice again here yesterday, with our high by the afternoon moving well into the 50's.
Today will be a bit cooler but still nice for February, with no precipitation for a while.
Currently, we record a chilly 36 degrees here on our back door thermometer but the sun is shining and we should at least reach the low 50's by this afternoon.

A Thrilling Thursday today? It's possible. Maybe even probable.
But if you will let it, through the magic of Christmas, it's a definite!

Good evening,

I took a day off from MMC yesterday, it was our getaway trip for my wife and I. We didn't bring our electronics with us. We went to the Mohegan Sun casino in Connecticut. We had a great time, had some great food, did some shopping, very little gambling. We had a great time, but we missed the boys. We enjoyed the Bobby's Burger Palace (a Bobby Flay restaurant) we went there for lunch yesterday and today, some of the best burgers we ever had. There was also a Carlo's Bakery (Cake Boss) there, we tried some very tasty baked goods. Buddy wasn't there, so no luck meeting him.
I am heading to bed, driving took a lot out of me.
I hope you all had a good day.

Goodnight, friends.
I'm glad you had a good time on your trip! We went for two nights on our 20th anniversary last year. We missed the kids, too, but it's nice to occasionally spend some time alone and remind her why she wanted to marry you in the first place. :D

Good morning!

Chilly out there today. My project went very well yesterday ~ lots more to do yet and it might take a few months to finish, but at least I am off to a good start. Working on reports this morning and later I am making spaghetti sauce with beef bacon and broccoli. Yummy!

Have a safe and merry day!
I've never heard of spaghetti sauce with beef bacon and broccoli. I'll have to check that out. Anything with any kind of bacon HAS to be good!

Good Morning, friends~

Merry Friday Eve!

A slow approach sounds like the best plan. And I bet the antibiotics are upsetting her stomach. The do that to me, anyway.

I hope she continues to improve! :)

Good Thursday Morning MMC! It's Friday Eve and that is a good thing! I'm leaving work a couple of hours early today to go to the dentist. Actually I am leaving an hour earlier than I really have to. I'm gonna come home and get a few things done before going to the dentist. Biggest reason I'm leaving a little earlier than I have to is because I have so much vacation time I'm about to "cap". When I hit 150 hours of PTO I can not gain any more until I use some. I will not let that happen! I'm at 146+ right now so yeah I have to use an hour or two before I accrue again in 2 weeks. Then my 3 day weekends will start rolling in! We're almost through winter I feel...or at least I hope :). Glad to hear Harlowe is doing a little better snowflake!
Everyone hang in there cause it's Thursday so after one more day today our favorite comes tomorrow!
Yeah, I keep a watch on my vacation accruals, too. Don't want to give away PTO!

Morning, Prancer! I'm sorry she's still not feeling good. It's probably best to keep her home for a couple days. Sending prayers for her improvement!

I was thinking the same thing, it's nice to hear personal experiences from a friend, with such excellent results.

Thanks! Adrian says I don't know how you came up with some of these ideas, but they're brilliant. The only time Har enjoys Pupperoni treats is during or after a walk-so while I still have my coat on, and Pupperoni in my pocket, I grab a knife and cut the long piece down the middle. (She no longer will take her big probiotic capsule whole with peanut butter) I then open the capsule, and pour it into the center of the treat. I replace the top portion, and cut it into little bites & hand feed her. This works a lot of the time! If she isn't interested in Pupperoni that night, I revert back to adding the powder into her water dish.

Thanks for the continued prayers & encouragement <3

Sorry to hear that the boys are still unwell. Prayers of healing continue for Isaac & Jacob.
Glad they are still in good spirits, bless their hearts!

I can't wait for Spring, either =]
Have you started your countdown?
