Christmas Countdown - 2016

Happy Friday!
Not too much going on here today. I'm going to run a couple of errands this morning and then head back home to catch up on my chores. I have a ton of laundry to do, I've been slacking the past couple of days. My mother is supposed to take a ride over this afternoon for a visit. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Good Friday Morning MMC! TGIF! I'm so busy at work that the days are a blur which makes these weeks fly by and it's Friday again! Every Sunday evening Friday afternoon seems miles away yet it just comes so fast. Can you believe this is the 50th day of the year already? 1/7th of the year almost gone. Oh my dentist appointment went well. No cavitiies etc. My dentist loves to talk. He asks me about my running and how it's going etc. He says "how old are you?" And I tell him 37. He says to me "I can't believe that. You look 30 tops." I proceeded to hug him (kidding)...but yeah it was a good day. And now it's Friday...Nitro is ready for the weekend. The temp is supposed to get into the 50s this weekend! An early taste of spring and I do have a bunch of errands and food shopping to do etc...but I'm looking forward to it.

Merry Friday!! We are not up to much today..my youngest is having her friend sleepover tonight and then a quiet weekend ahead which is fine with me. We may grill out tomorrow night. Luckily, our grill was not damaged when it blew off the deck it landed in muddy grass so I think it softened the blow.. Enjoy your Friday!

Hope your youngest has fun tonight!! Enjoy your weekend! I want to grill out or make something in the smoker tomorrow. It's supposed to be sunny & 62º tomorrow. 58º today. Crazy Feb weather!

Why would that be important?

Well, it's because as of tomorrow, we will be down to SINGLE DIGITS to Milestone number three, the 300-day Christmas Day marker!

Days to the Season: 268
Days to Christmas Day: 310

And, of course, immediately after we open that 300-day window, a double-200's count commences!


It was a bit nippy yesterday but not too bad for mid February.
Another coolish one today is predicted before it REALLY warms up nicely for the weekend, with a possible 70 degree reading by Sunday afternoon.

We currently see 33 sunny degrees here in central NC.

Merry Friday, All! It's an especially merry Friday for me, because it's the first day I didn't wear my orthopedic boot AT ALL! My leg does not hurt when walking, and so far it hasn't even twinged. The knee is still very stiff and painful, but now that I don't have that heavy boot on it should resolve quickly. I should be ready to be off and running by time Spring is here. Hooray!

PS; Thank you for all your kind comments on my previous 'broken leg' posts. They were very encouraging.

YAY!!! Congrats! No boot!! ENJOY!! Praying it's better every day!!

Good morning, MMC!

Morning came too early today. I managed to get up shortly after the alarm went off, but after a few hours I went back to bed for a nap. Rarely do I nap, but I think I really needed one as I am not feeling all that great today. The 2 1/2 extra hours of sleep felt so good! Working from home so it is all good, but I do find that I am a bit behind where I wanted to be. That is okay, just need to work a bit longer later today. Under a wind advisory today, but the sun is supposed to come out and it should get quite warm. Hope so!

Off to work on projects.

After she said her meal wasn't any good, I gave her the sandwich & she took a bite & said "Mmmm, now that's good!" LOL! She ate part of it! Progress! Whover will be there at supper time tonight should do the same!

Thanks snowflake! I'll be heading to see her at some point this afternoon. My sis just texted that Mom downed a McDonalds sunday! She is getting stronger every day, we just need for her white blood cell count to continue to go down. We got there last night & her door was closed with a green sign on the door. After 9 days, they say she MIGHT be contagious! REALLY??? REALLY??? Makes ya wonder sometimes!!!
