********** MILESTONE DAY **********

Good Morning, My Many Manifestly Manical Madcap Major Milestone Markers.

And mark it well, we have indeed arrived at the THREE HUNDRED DAY CHRISTMAS DAY WINDOW and the immediate beginning of a double-200's count.
(WOW!)

Days to the Season: 258
Days to Christmas Day: 300

(And stay tuned for a press release from none other than Carl himself.)

Wonderful day yesterday with plenty of sun, no rain, calm winds and moderate temperatures.
(Felt like mid Spring, and I'm not complaining!)
Right now, we have commenced this final, extra day of February at 54 degrees here in the capital city of the great state of North Carolina.

OK. In light of our arrival at the 300-day mark, and because of the uniqueness of the date, Carl has announced a special mini-open house this evening with the theme of "Leap through the Window", no doubt a reference to both our Milestone and the fact that it falls on February 29th.
About all he will reveal is that the entertainment focuses on a game involving jumping through the 'Pines dining room windows. He's wearing tennis shoes, so no doubt he will be participating personally.
(Well, don't know about you, but I for one am just curious enough to go!)

Have a Marvelous Monday, Everyone!
See you tonight! Happy Milestone/Leap day!!

I am so very sorry to hear of your SIL's passing , Holiday. I hope that she is at peace now. Her situation was always so sad to hear about. I feel that you are right in that she is finally at peace. Prayers beign sent your way .

Glad to hear your mom is doing well.
Thanks so much Festive! It truly is hard to be sad b/c this is truly what she wanted...just the whole scenario is sad.

Merry Monday Holiday! I am so sorry to hear about your SIL..(((HUGS))). I am glad your Mom is doing ok and hope they can get the meds adjusted. Congrats to your niece...such an exciting time for her!
Thanks SnowflakeMom!
They have discontinued one of Moms new meds. He feels that is the problem, so fingers are crossed! xx

My mind was going faster than my fingers. I'm glad you knew I meant your SIL. My daughter is doing ok, her knee is still a little sore, but she also hadn't bent it for a week, so being able to bend it 45* is not something it's used to. Thanks for your well wishes.
:)

Good Afternoon, friends~
Hope your day is going well.
Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers!

Nice spring looking picture!!! Hope your afternoon goes well too!

Thanks! I'm ready for Spring!
Hope you have a nice afternoon with your Mom!
Me too my friend. These warm days are such a tease! But I'm ok with it snowing too...just snow & be done & then start warming up in a few weeks! ;)
I'll be heading out shortly to get Emma's grocery list & head to the store. Not looking so forward to that! Lol!

Well, I actually call Mrs. Hilda, "Miss" Hilda, but, come to think of it, I never actually pronounce Mrs. with anyone.

Considering that, what is the full spelling of the abbreviation "Mrs."? Missus (which I think is a southern thang), Mistress, ...?

I bet MerryCarey knows. ;)
(Thank you for the compliment!)
Spelled out, AFAIK, it's "missus."
(So where'd the R come from in Mrs.? It was originally an abbreviation of "mistress," as in the female head of a household.)
I believe "Miss [first name]" as a way of referring an older female adult friend or neighbor is primarily Southern. I grew up in Maryland---kinda but not exactly Southern---and when I was a child, that's how I was taught to refer to older family friends and neighbors. I guess it's a way of being respectful without being formal.

I have always loved snow, but there's so many things going on this spring and I just want them to get here ;-)
And I guess we've had a longer winter then you, even though it's been atypical.

Hope the grocery shopping goes quickly and smoothly! ;)

I made a scrubby this weekend with the new Red Heart Scrubby yarn...not as good as the scrubbies made with 10 yards of nylon cut into strips...but I'll try it!
Scrubby yarn? This is news to me! [Goes to Red Heart website to look it up]
That's wild! How rough/abrasive is the yarn? I imagine it chewing up my poor winter-dry hands, or scarring my nice set of wooden hooks. I imagine it would work best with an aluminum hook.

Good Afternoon/Evening christmas friends...Hope everyone is having a good day so far...Its been a Dry/Chilly day here today Brrrrrrr...We are into the 200's till Christmas Woo-Hoo....Feeling back to normal today...Gonna chill out and watch a movie tonite...Enjoy the rest of your day christmas buddies:)

You have definitely had a longer winter there than we have here! It's been so mild. Same type of winter we had in 2012! I'm not complaining but you know I do love my snow...just not as much as Gracie does. Ha ha!

It's not very rough/abrasive at all, at least compared to the nylon I normally buy, cut in strips & crochet into scrubbies. And I always use an aluminum hook, so I'm not sure about a wooden hook, but I would think the scrubby yarn would be fine with that. Seems like it would be better as a body/skin exfoliator than a scrubby for your pots/pans/dishes/sink/bathtub, etc.?!

Glad you are back to normal. And I don't think there is such a thing as too much fun! :p :D Enjoy your evening!!! Stay warm!
