What. a. day.
Have not had a chance to login and read any posts. Working at top speed under pressure all day ... no lunch break ... no lunch, just a protein bar and a handful of sunflower seeds ... maybe I can catch up later, but I doubt it. Just wanted to stick my nose in the door today.

Busy day today, we were rocking at work, and it took a lot out of me. I ended up taking a short nap when I got home. I work tomorrow since I had Saturday off, so I will be thrown off a little.
We finally watched "The Peanuts Movie" tonight, it was very cute and thoroughly enjoyable.
I am up late again, the Bruins are out on the west coast playing San Jose tonight, I won't watch the whole game but the B's lead 2-1 after the first period. Go B's!!!!

I should head to bed, morning comes way too soon, and it is way too dark when I leave.

It's not petty. You worked yourself to the bone yesterday. It is completely rational for you to feel this way. It would have felt a lot better to get a specific mention. Anyway they may not have been specific because there were too many names to list or remember in that moment but without your input the job would not have been completed. They know that even if they didn't make the extra effort to say it. They have to ! They are lucky to have you and don't you forget it !!

I often have trouble winding down after an extra long day, too. It's frustrating because you're physically exhausted, but can't turn off your brain.

I'm a little sourball today ... still burned out from the workday yesterday. We kicked out a heavy project on short notice with all hands on deck. The congratulatory e-mails this morning thank ALMOST everyone by name. I believe my new name is And Everyone Else ... and that's how it usually is. *sigh* I know that sounds petty, but I'm tired and it just struck me the wrong way this morning.

I would feel the same way!
A team is a team, everyone should be mentioned or no one should be singled out at all.

My daughter is doing better. She had some soup & crackers last night and kept it down. She was still feeling lousy before she went to sleep but I'm hoping she feels better this morning. She's scheduled to work later this afternoon, we'll see how she is when she wakes up. I know she's not going to want to ask for another day off but she might have to. Anyway, not too much going on today. I'm going to take a ride to Target to pick up a few things, other than that I will be working on my daily chores. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

Yes, as stated here before, our many Milestones are either here or on the way.

Yesterday, we passed the 1/3 mark to the Season and.......now, you had better hold on to your sleigh bells for this......our next Milestone (number five on our chart) is -- incredibly -- SINGLE DIGITS away as of tomorrow.
Indeed, Folks. We are but TEN days away from the ONE QUARTER point to Christmas Day 2016!

Days to Christmas Day: 284


A bit cooler yesterday, but with no further precipitation.
Now, the weather service says we just might set an all-time high temperature mark for today's date this afternoon. (The record is 86.) A a bit TOO warm for mid March, to tell you the truth.
Right now, we are standing at 57 degrees here in the capital city.
