Good morning all. 191 days until the Spooky Season and 227 until Halloween. Have a great Friday!
Thanks, Ryan!
MERRY FRIDAY :) TGIF!
Hope you have a spooky day!

When do you guys have Thanksgiving? That's up there for me. The thing I love about October is that it begins the trilogy for us...Halloween Oct...Thanksgiving Nov...Christmas Dec.
We don't celebrate Thanksgiving Day here but we observe/celebrate harvest during the month of October. Thanksgiving ceremonies and festivals are held at schools , churches , farms etc to celebrate the food grown on the land and all the good things we are fortunate to have. There are often food drives and collections at the schools/churches so people can share with the less fortunate. I always look forward to going to the children's harvest day at school. It's one of my favourite things in October. I kind of think of this as our Thanksgiving :)

Yes I can fully appreciate it being at the top of your list. It is a special tradition indeed.

In the U.S. Thanksgiving Day starts the Christmas season for the country. Something clicks on that day, the parade, the family festivities and the fact almost everyone in the U.S. celebrates Thanksgiving...even more than celebrate Christmas. In a way, it's the biggest holiday in our country. Back to current though...we're looking forward to Easter :).

Yes even though we don't celebrate it , it is very well known and appreciated here. I understand how special it is for you guys. I have even had the pleasure of participating in the past.

Watching the Macy's parade and going to Church stands out to me as well as American football.

There are often lots of Thanksgiving shows and episodes aired that week and I will often mark the day in some small way like a nice family meal.

Anyway like you say, Easter is up next!! Chocolate eggs and jelly beans Yay!!!

Oh yeah I'm looking forward to Easter. I am a big football fan like a lot of Americans are and obviously as a big holidays fan the first thing I do in mid-April when the NFL schedules are released is look at the 3 games they are putting on Thanksgiving Day and smile at it.
