Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good evening,

Just another ho hum day here, it was our anniversary but we really didn't celebrate it since we barely saw each other. With all the things the kids are into we get very little time during the week. We will celebrate more on Sunday when we go to the next Black Wolves game. Thank you all for the well wishes.
I went and visited my grandfather today, he is doing well, if you could just keep him in your thoughts and prayers, they discovered a spot on his lung. He says he is starting to feel old, and he doesn't like it, seems very run down. He is 93 years old after all.
Work will be beckoning early enough, so.....

Typical day of errands and chores. I'm also going to visit my parents, they just got back from Pennsylvania. They went for a few days to get their place ready for the summer. Not too much else going on.

We do have a pretty good size garden. It use to be bigger but grass keeps taking over more of it. My hubby edges it every so many years to get rid of it. It's time again!

I've been reading posts, but I haven't posted in a while!

PTL, we only have a month of school left! I hate school, but I'm glad DD still likes it. She'll be in sixth grade next year. We're nearly half-way through! I don't want to wish her childhood away, but I can't wait for high school graduation so I can be finished with school. If she chooses to go to college, she's on her own as far as the school work!

We are having an addition built on our house. We're gaining a master bedroom & bathroom, with a walk-in closet and laundry room. There will also be a "rec room" & bathroom in the basement underneath it. We're going from a 3 bed/2 bath to a 4 bed/4 bath. That sounds big, but it really isn't that big compared to most. I just hate that I'll have to clean it all...; basement is dug & block is up, so progress is being made.

I'm asking for prayers for myself. Nothing is wrong, I'm just in a "funk", and I know the prayers of friends will help me out of it. Sometimes I let everything overwhelm me & I start shutting down. I know that the only way to eat the elephant is one bite at a time, and I'm hoping that after I get my exercise in tonight it will clear my foggy brain & give me some energy!

I hope everyone has a great Pines Day and is looking forward to the weekend!

I'm limping a bit tonight (twisted ankle a bit when running besides hurting my lower back a little)...and I'm tired as heck cause work is overwhelming...but nothing...nothing will stop me from...reaching the Pines and seeing Carl (it just may take me a little extra time to reach it without a vehicle).

Good evening MMC! I had to go to Pines early tonight because I'm spending the night at my moms! Emma left early for a wedding tomorrow so I am covering tonight! Mom is doing well – thankfully – and as I expected it was a wasted day for mom! Her appointment was at 1:30 and they left the apt at 4:15 after only drawing blood and telling her that her count is still high but it is better high then low and she needs to come back in two months! Geez! I'm thankful for that news but still what a joke!

I forgot to tell you all about the catalog I received in the mail today…

I'm glad your mom is doing well. I will keep praying for her!

Harlowe did take her meds last night, and ate a little.
Fingers crossed today is even better for her.

They are showing our home (rental) today, hoping it's taken right away so no more showings. It's hard to organize our schedules, and we're not comfortable with people we don't know being in here while we're gone.

Merry Morning,
We woke up to light snow flurries again. Where was this back in December. Anyway it's not sticking here but it was heavy in some parts. Its bitter out and hard to believe we are almost in May with this weather. It's a three day weekend here with Monday as a holiday. Usually this is the kick off to the milder season and people start getting into summer mode. It's usually a BBQ weekend! I hope we get an actual summer to make up for this!

It is incredibly difficult tidying up and packing away your personal stuff etc each time.

I find it really hard with the kids too as they have so much toys etc. Some things are staying locked away until the process is over and this means we can't access everything when we want it. Having to arrange viewings so we won't be in the house is hard especially with little ones.

What do you do with harlowe? That must be so tough!!!

And yes I especially hate not knowing who is our home while we are not there.

I have the same prayers & wishes for you, lovely.

As of right now, this'll be our first one. But with our home in Vegas, we would always just leave prior to the showing and take her with us.

Adrian will be home, so he'll just take her into another room with him. But if it's not rented out right away, it'll be interesting. I have a feeling it'll go right away. The rent amount is the only thing that would scare people away, LOL.
We were the first renters in this property, and we've kept it pretty immaculate.
