Oh, I do love Mexican food! It will depend how many show up tonight! If it's a big group we'll probably just get pizza! I'm very ok with that too... :D

Just another ho hum day here, it was our anniversary but we really didn't celebrate it since we barely saw each other. With all the things the kids are into we get very little time during the week. We will celebrate more on Sunday when we go to the next Black Wolves game. Thank you all for the well wishes.
I went and visited my grandfather today, he is doing well, if you could just keep him in your thoughts and prayers, they discovered a spot on his lung. He says he is starting to feel old, and he doesn't like it, seems very run down. He is 93 years old after all.
Work will be beckoning early enough, so.....

Happy midday mmc! Most of you are almost through your day! I'm at a doctors appointment in one of the biggest gowns I've ever seen! I could use this as a blanket! They've told me she's running behind, I've been in here for almost an hour. The best part is I am able to read all of your posts! Hope you all have a beautiful day!

That sounds miserable. Hope the storms aren't bad! We are currently at 52º - I'll stop whining! ;)

We've been sort of tiptoeing around our manager this past week, after he announced his illness. He's seemed down (for obvious reasons), and it's uncomfortable. But yesterday was a good day, and today he's going golfing with some customers, so I'm hoping he has another good day. Please keep him in your prayers.

I can understand the "tiptoeing," but having been on the other end of that ... it's very uncomfortable for the patient, too---suddenly everyone treats you differently and seems to avoid you or be whispering about you. He may prefer to feel like he's the same guy you always knew. Quietly let him know that if he needs an ear, you're available to listen. Some patients don't want to burden anyone with their troubles, but it's a heavy, heavy load to carry alone all day. I know that suddenly having people tiptoeing around me (or worse, totally cutting themselves off from me because they felt awkward) made me feel like "dead woman walking," even though I had a good prognosis. I even grew to dread "Oh, you're looking so good today!" because it made me think: You must have expected me to look like a deathly ill wreck.

Sorry for the diatribe. But I felt I wanted to show the other side of the coin. It's uncomfortable on both sides, and the best thing for both sides is to not let the discomfort build barriers.

I think Holiday means for Mother Nature to "stop it with the snow," not you! Go ahead and talk about the weather!
