Happy "Friday" to you! ;)
I was thinking about you the other night. The Amish lady who is staying with my mom had to leave early last week b/c they had a wedding in their community, on Thursday. We asked her questions about the wedding when she got back. There were 550 people there, 220 horse & buggies, & they were fed 2 meals, and it was at a house/barn! Can you imagine?? 1 meal is a lot, but at their weddings they serve 2! Yikes! There were 50 women helping with the cooking!
Sounds like a spectacular way for the couple to celebrate the joining of their lives together ♥♥

Their home was in an area hardest hit by the fire so far and it looks like they have nothing to go home to. They and their kids are safe in an evacuation centre. This is when I wish we lived closer.
Been watching the news about the fire and praying for all there. My heart and prayers go out to your friend and all effected including the wildlife. I can't imagine the devastation and I am so sad it happened.

Sending prayers....those poor people.

Wow. And here we thought the Amish were so simple, eh? Of course, they probably raised a barn or something during that wedding....
I forgot to mention they don't let the community know the couple is going to be married until 2-3 weeks before the wedding. The family is permitted to know so they have time to prepare, but it's not "published" until 2-3 weeks before the wedding to the guests. Interesting tradition!
She also said there is no music, but they all sing. And sometimes they play harmonica! :)

My buddy stopped off today and had bought me some Carolina Reaper peppers and ground up Reaper. He also had brought chili with him already seasoned. Every bite was like a mouthful of lava. Lemme tell ya..lol..words dont even begin to describe these lil gems.
Wow! I've never heard of such a thing. Do you eat them straight up? I will have to look into those! :D

That's the only plant that ever survived me! She's still doing well, but I have my fingers crossed, because I trimmed her last weekend so the branches wouldn't straggle onto the table. I hope she'll still grow and bloom!
Hoping she'll bloom & grow!! I never did trim back the branches on the one that came from my brother/sil's house. She's doing so good I'm afraid too!

I agree. It's hard to fathom preparing 2 meals for 550 people with no running water & no electricity! EEK!
