Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good morning .. Well after a chilly night at the little league field last night and reading some of the posts on here yesterday regarding hot chocolate .. I made a big batch of hot chocolate last night. I didn't have to ask the kids twice if they wanted some. They had their cups all ready and waiting before hot chocolate was even done. Another chilly and rainy day here but at least it's Friday. Going to bake cookies this weekend with the kids and I am thinking it might be a good time to try a new recipe to see if it will make its way into the cookie line up come Christmas. Now the hard part .. figuring out which new recipe to try

Just got a FB message that a popular restaurant here will be closed on Mothers Day so their employees can spend the day with their families. Awesome!

Merry Friday Friends!! I am late logging on as I had to stand in line this morning for an hour to sign my oldest daughter up for some day trips for the summer but she got all the ones she wanted. A couple to the beach and some shopping trips. Just working now..so happy it is Friday!! My daughter has a track meet at 4 and then a school dance from 6:30-8:30. And my youngest one is going to a sleepover bday party! I am so excited because my furniture is getting delivered tomorrow. We got a new couch and love seat. We also got a new dining room table. I am not sure what we are doing for Mother's day. My Mom passed away 4 years ago so I may have my Dad come over. My husband is supposed to talk to my MIL and invite her over. I think my husband is going to make baked stuffed shrimp...his stuffing is so good! Hope you all have a great day!

Hope your daughter has fun at her track meet & dance!

Looking forward to the weekend, except for one thing ... our landline went dead last night, and we have to call the phone company and to try to schedule a repair...and they're currently on strike, so we'll probably be on hold indefinitely and have to wait a long while for repairs.

That is frustrating!

Harlowe is hanging in, according to Adi. He said she's resting a lot, but took her heart & lung meds, and enjoyed her walk.

I am okay, but it's been a stressful day of travels, more of the same car trouble as I had a few weeks ago, worrying about Harlowe, and coming back to the office to find a pile of accounting just waiting to be tackled.
Thank God It's Friday!!!

Hope you rested better last night. Fingers crossed that you can sleep in tomorrow.

I love the countdown. This place is great!
This weekend my 2 boys(21 years and 13 years) are going to order pizza and we are going to watch a movie for Mother's Day. I can't think of anything better for Mother's Day than to spend some time with my boys without any distractions.
I hope every mother here gets to spend some good quality time with their kids this weekend.
