Ours is weird..by tomorrow I will have 32 hours worked in 2 days. 1 PTO day this week nets me 40 hours. 2nd PTO is for Sunday. Then off with pay on Monday. Month starts over and my 2 days of PTO I just usedwill be refilled due to hours worked for the month...so in Jan and Feb I burnt up all my last years time b4 I lost em. Yes they didnt like it because I was salary and would restart full again...but I didnt hear em complaining all year when I wasnt using them.Ours is use it or lose "Vacation Time".
We don't have sick days. If you're sick, stay home. If your child is sick, stay home.
And believe it or not, we don't have an attendance problem. Nobody hardly misses.
Extreme cases are handled on an individual basis and usually are handled with FMLA. I had shoulder surgery and was out for 3 weeks and never missed any pay. They treat us very well here. Just don't take advantage of the system. Or else... well, just don't take advantage.

Some pics from this morning of the park where I like to walk Loki. Had some geese hiss at us, protecting their young. And Loki met a huge long-haired German Shepherd. I had never seen one like that, it was gorgeous. Now time to run some errands.
I'd like a walk there myself today. Having a bit of a rough day, and the sunshine and scenery would help
