Wait a minute...Pines Day and Rudolph Day pale in comparison to Made's birthday!

A very happy birthday to you, my friend!

Carl has a special blend in your honor. He didn't say what was in it, but did say it would make you forget that you turned another year older for a bit...in case you are down about it.
Hmmmm. There was also a rather diabolical laugh. Try it with caution!

Oh yes. Lots of times.
You too?!
I haven't eaten there a lot of times, but we took a convertible trip there a couple years ago. Also took a convertible trip to a Mexican restaurant in Decatur that was delicious a couple times. :)

It's funny. For a small town, it gets lots of visitors.
If you ever get the chance you should try the Galley Restaurant. Best fish I've ever had.

Merry Morning and Happy Pines Day.

I woke up to a freezing morning. The smell of pine and wood smoke suddenly transported me to autumn days in October. My favourite month. My favourite season. Outside is washed in dark grey and the sky overcast. I am warming up with a steaming mug of coffee and the fire while visions of jack-O-lanterns dance in my head. :)

Have an easy going, pleasant day everyone.

What a wonderful smell ~ but sorry to hear it's so cold!! Hope it's warming up! xx
Have a great day Festive!

Good Wednesday Morning MMC! Happy Rudolph Day #5 and Pines Day! Hope you're all starting to think about the long Memorial Day weekend ahead of us. It looks like the warmth is right on schedule as I usually wind up having to put the a/c up around Memorial Day weekend and here we go into the 80s now today through the weekend. I plan on putting it up on Saturday (even though it shows next week we're going to be cooling off again back to normal/below normal).
I hope you all have a great Pines Day and see you guys tonight!
We had our AC on yesterday & Monday too! ;)
Have a great day Edge!

Do they have anything besides fish/seafood? I am not a fan & my BIL is not either (who is normally along on our convertible nights) Thanks for the recommendation! :)

Happy Weds everyone!! 2.5 hours to go for me then the holiday weekend starts. Quick stop into Starbucks, local butcher shop and thats it for the day.
How nice! Enjoy your extra long weekend!!!

Good Morning, MMC Members Extraordinaire.

And let me tell you, the looming proximity of our next Milestone Marker is extraordinary indeed!

Days to the Season: 172
Days to Christmas Day: 214

And, as is foretold by the second number above, we are precisely TWO weeks away from the grand opening of the 200-day Christmas Day Window and the launch of a double-100's count sequence, signalling the beginning of the fast track to our Holiday of choice.
(Oh, Joy! Oh, Rapture!)

As predicted by the weather service, yesterday was sunny and dry and yes, I DID get that lawn mowed!
More of the same today only warmer, as we move ever closer towards the inevitable heat and humidity.
Currently, our back door thermometer tells us it is 64 degrees outside.

Well, it is mid week and we all know what THAT means!
So does Carl, and he's ready and waiting with......well......who knows what.
But, like every Wednesday, the mysterious 'Pines activities director and his fascinating plans beckon us to the door.
Will you join me there this evening?

Until then, you all -- each and every one -- have a Wonderful Wednesday!
Thanks Crown! See you tonight!

Good morning all my Christmas loving friends !

I called in sick today, allergies or cold not sure which but feel clogged up and just plain yucky. Don't have to be in again until 12:15 on Friday so lots of time to get better. The students are back so we end up with less hours which really sucks. Nothing can be done about it because they just remind us that we were never promised any set number of hours a week.
Oh well, more time to work in the garden !

Hope you all have a fantastic day !
Hope you are feeling better quick so you can enjoy your days off!! Have fun in the garden! :)

They have good chicken too. But everyone goes for the fish. I used to hate seafood; with a passion. It made me feel nauseous just to smell it. But I could eat the Galley fish. It's not fishy at all.
But if you go back that way, you just can't beat The Back 40.

Thanks.

80s wow that's warm. I hope you wrap up sooner than expected and I especially hope your weekend will be free.
Thank you!
Today's busy day has been a waiting game so far; nothing to work on yet. I guess when it comes it will be a BIG glop of work all at once. Some "busy" days are like that: waiting, an hour or two of intense work, waiting for reviews and revisions, more intense work, more waiting, etc. until it's all deemed finished. Something's coming, because they hired a temp to help with today's workload.

Aha, the first deck just hit my desk. Bye for a while!

I am looking forward to joining everyone this evening! Happy 'Pines Day, Crown! So nice to see us reach another Rudolph Day... and, on this one, I hope that everyone is experiencing weather that they can enjoy!

Good morning, everyone!

Busy. Busy. Busy! I've been busy the past few weeks with a bunch of things. Mostly training, running, and coaching... as well as teaching, too. Not a whole lot is new here, really. I hope you all have been enjoying the past couple weeks of May. It's great to see another Rudolph Day has arrived.

Perhaps I will be able to sneak in a Christmas movie tonight? We shall see, although I think it will be unlikely due to the fact that there is a Raptors game on TV... I normally don't like basketball, but when there is a Canadian-based team this far into the playoffs of a league where the rest of the teams are American-based, I will watch. It's been exciting thus far, too!

Have a great Wednesday, everyone! I am looking forward to plenty of celebrations tonight at the 'Pines, especially since it is also Made's birthday!
