Merry Monday

Vacation over but I have the kids for a second week before they go back to school next week. It is HOT HOT here reaching the 70s again today. Woke up with a headache. It might be the heat. Thunderstorms moving in later.

Hope you have a good start to your week.

I had an awful headache yesterday due to the heat as well-it's going to be about 90F here today. Summer is here, and that's just fine, because it means fall is that much closer! I hope you feel better today and have a good week with your kids!

Good morning!

Saturday and Sunday brought much needed soaking rains ~ my tomato plants grew several inches!!! Lucy's kittens are doing well ~ four wee black, possibly chocolate, explorers. :)

Found a lot of good items for the store the other day so I am going to work on cleaning and pricing.

Have a MERRY week!!

Sounds wonderful Meceka! I hope you have a merry Monday and a wonderful week ahead!

Good morning all my Christmas loving friends !

Have not been here to much because I have been so busy getting ready for the upcoming conference in Niagara Falls on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Also starting to get a bit nervous having to speak in front of all those people. It will be fine, the nerves are more about not wanting to mess up than speaking as I have no problem getting up in front of everyone. Expecting around 2,000 people to be there. It will be nice to get away for a few days and be with friends and just have fun.
Hope you all have a fantastic week !!

I hope your conference goes well CS! I'll be thinking about you! Good to see you here this morning!

Good Monday Morning MMC! Should be an interesting week this week. My brother is stopping in from San Diego Tuesday through Thursday. He is on his way to Europe but is stopping in for a couple of days since he hasn't been here since Christmas. Saturday was a busy day for me and Sunday I wound up meeting my friend for a walk in the rain. Wasn't a nice day Sunday but I felt better getting out than staying home all afternoon with the dreary weather. Anyway, other than that I just hope it's a good day today and a good week for all of you.
Have a great Monday everyone!

Hope your time with your brother is good Edge! And hope that your week overall is a good one!

Good Morning, Folks.
We have reached another Milestone Week.

Yes, on Wednesday ('Pines Day!) we will open the 200-day Christmas Day Window and commence our journey through a double-100's count.

The fact this falls on Wednesday is, of course, not lost on Carl and no doubt there will be some theme for this week's open house that will integrate the marker.
Stay tuned.

Days to the Season: 160
Days to Christmas Day: 202

A good soaking rain fell yesterday evening and we have commenced this new week damp here in central North Carolina at 73 degrees.

You have a Marvelously Merry Monday, Everyone.
And I hope and trust your week is off to a fine beginning!
Thanks Crown! We had a lot of rain on Sunday too!

Good morning everyone!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Michelle and I had a good time at the Blueberry Festival Saturday. It was small but nice. This festival was out in the middle of nowhere (Near @Bradmac ) and we drove thru several small towns that we've heard of but have never been to just to get there. It was nice to stay off the interstate and see the country. Almost every small town had a Dollar General and a Subway. And half of those had a Dairy Queen.

Oh, and here is the question we got a lot at church yesterday:
Did you get any blueberries?
No, they're not in season yet. So this makes me wonder why they would have a blueberry festival in June? There must be something behind it, but I don't know what it is.

Have a blessed day!

That is interesting-I was expecting you to say you'd been munching on blueberries all morning Rich!! Hope you get to snack on some soon. :)

** TRAVEL ALERT **

A short, final trip to check the cottage and tie up some loose ends will be undertaken by yours truly after my Wednesday morning post, so a volunteer will be needed for one day only, this Thursday, June 9th.

Anyone feel up to volunteering for a one-day quickie?
I can do that 1 day for you on Thursday...unless someone else wants it I'll take care of it for you.

Merry Monday Crown! This is exciting news! Can't wait for more updates throughout the week! Have a good one!

Good Sunday afternoon everyone,

Thought I'd share my Christmas story for June that I had today. It was nothing huge, however my little family went to my best friends new house for brunch with his family. After eating, we had a 15 minute discussion on where they were going to put up there Christmas tree this December. It's something I always ask people when they move into a new home. Normally the first question. ;)

Anyone else do this?
Of course! When we bought the house we live in now, I started wiring electrical receptacles along the eves of the house. The neighbors asked why...for icicle lights, of course! ;)

It's been one heck of a year already for us in my family...currently two members of the family in the hospital, another recovering from a broken leg, and another in and out of the hospital. Also, last night a family friend we've had for generations passed away. I'm a chaplain and had been at her retirement community before moving to my current community, so I've been asked to do her service. An honor but also so difficult!

I'm ready for some Christmas cheer. Who's got some today to share?!;)

I have some coffee...if that helps :). Sorry to hear about what you're going through.
