Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good morning all! Just got back from vacation last night. We had a wonderful time. We spent 2 full days in Gettysburg, 2.5 days in Philadelphia and a day in Harpers Ferry.
Lots of driving!
We were able to enjoy some of everyone's interests. We saw my historical sights, my wife's art museums, and family favorite zoo. Then, by accident, we ended up in Philly while the ComicCon was going. That is a favorite of everyone as well. We are some of the crazy people who dress up as superheros and comic book characters at the conventions. We also hiked up Maryland Heights outside of Harpers Ferry. It is a solid hike, but the view of Harpers Ferry is amazing.
Now it is time to relax a little at home.

Did you happen to pass through Frederick County (Maryland) on your way from Gettysburg to Harpers Ferry? Lots of history there!

Tonight is the last night of VBS, then Elizabeth leaves for 4 days at a church camp. I don't want her to be gone that long! But the camp is really wonderful by all reports, and it's only a few miles away, so I guess I'll let her go.

Maybe the pool will be clear when she gets back. It's supposed to be 97° on Sunday. :eek:

Happy Wednesday/Hump Day/'Pines Day! (As the Chinese restaurant menu says, Delights of Three!)
A beautiful summer day here and considerably cooler this morning, but storms may pop up later. It'll be less sunny the next few days. Meanwhile, the beautiful weather makes the workday seem so-o-o long ...

Good morning Brad. Merry Milestone Day!!!
I wanna be a kid again to I can go to VBS and church camp. They are so much fun. Especially church camp! She'll remember it forever.

It's funny how much money we will spend on a small body of water. But it is so enjoyable during those hot summer days. :) Good luck clearing it up.

Happy Pines Day!! Happy Milestone Day!!! Happy Hump Day!!! I'm going to take advantage of the cooler day to do some baking but first I need to reorganize the chest freezer so I have some room to freeze some of it. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!
