Christmas Countdown - 2016

Looks like the rain is clearing already! Thanks!

Tonight we really have no plans, except to try out our new machine! Tomorrow morning Jim is working & I'm bringing some goodies to a bake sale for an Animal Adoption Day sponsored by our counties animal protection league. Tomorrow afternoon we'll be going to my brother/sil's for my nephew & future nieces "I Do BBQ" (it's a couples shower instead of a traditional ladies bridal shower) - we'll go back to the lake after that. (speaking of, I told my SIL I would bring a snack. I better be thinking about what I'm going to make. LOL) Sunday we have no plans. I'll be staying with Mom Sunday night, so maybe we'll have her at the lake for a cook out, or take her out to eat.

What are your weekend plans?

Mom is doing pretty good. She's on a new medicine, which we think she is having some side effects from so I'm not sure how long she will be staying on it. It's supposed to help her with her energy level but I'm not so sold on the idea of it w/ all the possible side effects! She doesn't do well on medicine (she's on enough already!) and she's 87 - she's allowed to slow down. But overall for an 87 year old, she's doing great! She didn't go to the Y this morning b/c of the suspected side effects of this new drug...unless she just caught a bug. She is at my sisters house today. Thanks for asking!

Another one of your fun packed weekends from start to finish So kind of you to help out with the animal adoption. I hope they do well. I love the idea of the of the 'I Do' BBQ. You always make me smile with these little terms like the Stitch N ___ etc. You should be an event planner!

I am glad she is doing well. Sounds like you are on top of things with her meds etc. I hope the side effects are managebale until you all decide what's best.

Today is one year since Molly passed. I miss her so much, my heart hurts. She was the sweetest dog <3

They are having lots of fun together, and bonding a little extra as tehir time together is usually with a full house and my parents dog Jazzie, too.

When it was time for me to get ready for work this morning, Harlowe said adios to me and crawled in bed with her. It was sweet

I know what you mean. Lulu love to go to my mama's, and she's perfectly happy to stay a her house when we leave home for a few days. And mama love her, too! LOL

I agree There's nothing better than being together in person.

I will definitely post pics of the blow molds! The Santa one is similar to one I have, but you can never have too many And I've been buying some of the vintage Halloween blow molds over the past few months, and the one my Mom picked up was one I've been searching for! The ones I've seen have always been too faded, this one is in great condition-a little worn enough to give it charm, but not too much!

Part of the stress is closing before our current lease is up, and the other is losing our excellent financing rate that we locked in. And of course our lender is out of town. Trying to reach her, as this is time sensitive. Fingers crossed

You guys are still in our thoughts, as well. Bring on the positive vibes for the both of us =]

Picked up a few more Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers in the past few weeks. Now I just need to find time this weekend to update my gift list.

Cant believe we are under 200 days until the big day and right around the corner from CIJ!!! Not long after CIJ will be back to school the Ber months! Can't wait!!!

I can understand the stress. Those are some serious issues. I really hope things work out.

Thank you . I appreciate the positive vibes very much. We came pretty close last week but the buyer changed their mind. We have a viewing tomorrow so fingers crossed. We are trying not to get stressed or lose hope but it's difficult sometimes. We always knew it would be a difficult house to sell though. It's a 1930s cottage style so very small and the layout isn't to everyone's liking. Most of these houses have been remodelled to a modern layout. I imagine the future buyers/investors would want to remodel too. We really liked it's charm and character and it was the perfect starter house when it was just us and a baby but now it's just too small.


The rain hasn't been too disruptive. Not as bad as down south. Not sure what the next few days will bring.
