Congrats on passing RESA!!Good morning everyone!
The day is off to a good start. I woke up to a really heavy rain, which was out of nowhere and a bit strange, but whatever. lol I then started to make coffee and breakfast. Henry was already up and running around the house with a brown blanket on his head, I have no idea why.
Then I remembered that today is the day I get the results back from my resident educator summative assessment(RESA). This is what all new teachers in Ohio have to do in their first 3-4 years in order to stay a teacher. The first 2 years are just going to some meetings and filling out meaningless paperwork. However, in year 3 there are 4 "tasks" which you have to complete. Those tasks range from making videos of teaching, uploading a bunch of files from tests, homeworks, emails, etc... Then you answer a ton of questions for each task. The process is done so that 2 tasks were due in December and 2 in April. You might remember me complaining about doing them.
Well, anyway, I am happy to say that I passed all parts of RESA!!!Year 4 of the program is just more meetings, but requires no actual work that I have to do. I am so happy and relieved to be done with RESA!!!

Good Wednesday, Pinesday afternoon, my Christmas friends!
We had a power outage that affected most of the county this morning, and we're finally getting back to normal. I don't know what caused it, but it was obviously pretty serious.
I went to lunch with some of the folks in the office today. Unless a vendor or the company is buying, I usually go home for a sandwich, but I've decided to go with Russell more often. It's difficult to watch him already struggling with ALS. His right hand is so weak now, he can't open a door or eat with it, and he can barely write. Bless his heart, I wish I could help.
But, he's always in a good mood and interested in the job. I'm not sure I could be, in his position. He's a stronger man than I.
The kids went to another VBS last night, then they jumped in the pool when they got home. I don't know what time they came in, but it was way after I went to bed. Ah, to be young again!

He will be searching for quite awhile out there! LOL We don't even have many trees at all around here. Not sure why he came here. There's a nice woods just across the field!

Happy Pines MMC and we are half way through June!! It is crazy! I just worked today and my brother left this morning to head back to NC. It was a nice visit. My oldest daughter has a pick-up soccer game with the high school girl team tonight so I am going to take her to that. Otherwise not too much is going on..see you at the Pines. Hope you Wednesday is going well....so frustrating about the landscaping! I hope they can get it completed soon....darn rain!Good Morning, friends~
Merry Pines Day!
We had more torrential rain last night, which continues to push our landscaping back. Fingers crossed that there's a long break soon. More rain forecasted for today.

Good morning
Busy day in a busy week...
The boys have their last week at primary school this week
and they are starting High School (Junior?) in August
(What? My babies? Feels like yesterday I took them to their first school day!?!)
So they are having a sort of "graduation" this evening
Formal party.. Tables with white linens, dinner and entertainment
They have put together a show for us parents with songs, dances
and some funny acting...
(and we parents are going to surprise them, and sing to them)
They have been practicing for weeks, and today they have done 3 shows
for the rest of the school, grandparents and others
Can't wait to see them tonight
