It's hot here but not quite like that-just 93 and feels like 93! I hope you have a great first day of summer yourself!

Happy Monday and Happy Summer! I am working the afternoon/evening shift today, so I'm doing some laundry this morning and relaxing, trying to stay cool. I'm looking up some raspberry and strawberry recipes, as the season is right around the corner. Looking forward to making jam. I'm also looking forward to a 3-day weekend coming up. A really fantastic day yesterday for our final day of Spring.
Low temps and humidity, lots of sun, gentle breezes and no precipitation of any kind.
(I expect a lot of fathers were pleased with it!)
This morning has commenced at 66 degrees and brings wlth it the promise of another nice day with no rain predicted until Wednesday at the earliest.

Good Monday Morning MMC! Happy Summer Solstice! It was a beautiful weekend here with temps in the 80s and low humidity with lots of sunshine. Can't ask for much better in the summer. Can't believe we are 2 weeks from the 4th of July! It's all coming so quickly. But it's exciting to know the 2nd half of the year will have most of our favorite things/times of the year. We started looking online for places that have the type of dog we are looking for and even threw around some possible names. It's at least a start. Yesterday was a rare "boring" day for me where I actually didn't have much to do.

Thanks for the thoughts & prayers for Mom. She seemed much better by Saturday morning. My sis stayed with her Saturday & she was fine. I talked to her yesterday & she was going to my nieces for a cook out! She may have just had an "off" day on Friday. xx She can use the prayers today though - my brother is breaking the news to her that my aunt (her youngest sister) didn't get good news from any of the 3 doctors in Cleveland about her pancreatic cancer. And we also found out this morning, one of Moms good friends was diagnosed with bone cancer & it has spread to her organs. She will be very sad today! :(

What happened to my cool down??

Today is going to be our 6th 90 degree day this summer. In a normal year, we only have 9 of them all summer. I think we are in trouble.

Oh no! I like the looks of that from where I am, but I know it's not that warm normally for you! Hope it cools off soon-or goes by quickly! Or that you've got GREAT AC!

I'm gluten-free too! I HATE that feeling...it happens off and on at pretty much any restaurant I regularly go to. The guessing game is not my favorite. I hope you're feeling better already HMG! I'm glad to know I'm not alone on that, and I hope it really passes quickly!!

We are back from Indy and ComicCon. Today is a relax and do nothing kind of day. While ComicCons are fun, they are tiring. It was a lot of fun.
Actor and director Kevin Smith (Clerks, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Red State, etc...) was there to show his newest movie, Yoga Hosers. His daughter and Johnny Depp's daughter are the stars of the movie. He spoke for about an hour and then showed the movie and then had a Q&A session. It was a lot of fun.

Thanks for all of the Anniversary wishes. We are complete nerds so it was nice to spend our anniversary doing something we both really enjoy! Plus Indy is a special city for us. We spent a weekend there together early in our relationship and also took out Honeymoon in Indy. It is a great city with a lot of memories for us. Plus, we both worked with marching bands who performed in Indy at the Band of America Marching Band Finals every November. So we really enjoy the city.

In other Cosplay/ComicCon news. We may be going to Louisville this coming Sunday for a small Con. But, it has a kids cosplay contest, and Henry has a really cool Plankton outfit, so the current plan is to head down there for just the one day.
If you are interested in our silly family activities, we have a little cosplay facebook page. It is Lola and the professor. Feel free to check it out and like the page if you are on facebook. We are about to expand, we hope, and start a local cosplay group that can go to local events and charity events.

Sorry to take up so much space talking about our silly antics. :p
