Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good morning MMC! Merry Friday Eve!!!! We were able to have our pre-fest party last night with no issues whatsoever from the weather. As a matter of fact, we didn't see much rain AT ALL overnight. So much for that 1-3" we were supposed to get. I'm ok with not getting those nasty storms they kept preaching about but most people were bringing in their flowers, etc to prepare. I told my hubby around midnight I was just going to bring in "a couple" of my favorites, he helped but not w/o rolling his eyes....

OOPS! So this morning I got to carry them all back outside. I brought them in for no reason at all! Anyway, there's a chance of storms again today but I haven't seen anything about severe weather, although I don't know why we should believe the weather peeps anyway! It was starting to lightening just as we were going to bed. Gracie went straight down the basement, so I slept down there with her. I didn't hear any thunder boomers at all over night, but we must have had some. I slept great! Gracie's had the right idea!

We did not get much either. It rained hard for about 30 minutes with some wind and lightening, but nothing "bad" or "severe." Since they are saying we won't get anything today, be ready for a tornado.

Happy Thursday!
Typical day for me. I have a couple of errands to run and then I'll be working on my daily chores. I also need to run to the mall later this afternoon. I have to buy a purse for my nephews wedding. I'm not sure what jewelry I'm wearing with the dress either, so I have to figure that out as well. All of this running around for my nephews wedding and I'm just a guest! I can't imagine when all of other my nieces and nephews start getting married, and my girls too. They're all pretty close in age. I'm going to need a job by then!

I can't imagine having to do that much running for a wedding! I would never get anything else done. Ha ha ha! Our neighbor girl gets married next month, my nephew the following month. Next April & May we have 4 weddings, and we haven't heard yet when my newly engaged nephew will be getting hitched. I hope you can easily find a purse & jewelry to match your dress! Hope all your chores & errands go well!

Our pups are smart cookies, Harlowe did the same thing last night.
Went to her safe spots, I slept right through the tornado warnings-oops. I was exhausted! Hope Gracie is doing better today, Harlowe was still nervous this morning. Although, the move doesn't help =]

Awe!! Bless her heart! I bet she is a little confused about the move. She will love her new home & her new friends though! Gracie was fine this morning. When I went upstairs, she followed me up & did all her normal things! I did let the basement door open for her today just incase a storm rolls through.

Thanks! I'm not sure it went quickly, but I got everything done that I wanted to get done + more. I still have more to do before the weekend, but I put a good dent in it!!

I sure will! She was in rare form last night ~ she loves all the company that came to see HER!
Speaking of, it was 1 year ago yesterday that Gracie 1st got sick! Our pre-fest party is always the Wed. before the festival & everyone was over when she 1st got sick, though the date was actually June 24. We thought it was something she ate, or maybe a reaction to them fogging for bugs in the woods at the festival. It was a long weekend as we didn't realize how sick she was, but she just wasn't right all weekend. She didn't go to the vet until 1st thing Monday morning & then she got to spend the whole week there. I told her we aren't going to do that again!

Aww, I love that she was so happy with her friends!

60 to 100mph winds led to Trees down, cell towers down, corn fields blown flat, semis blown over, and power poles snapped. Plus some flooding from all the rain. Oh and did I mention that it already feels like 90 degrees out there? We survived though!!

Thanks! We really have no definite plans! We may take a day or 2 convertible trip somewhere? Or we may just hang out at the lake. We'll see where the wind blows us! Jim is off tomorrow already - lucky duck!

Maggie's doing pretty well, thanks for asking. She's still coughing on & off. She just finished another round of antibiotics, I'm hoping it doesn't flare up again. Trying to keep her cool, the heat and humidity aggravates her. It's going to be a long summer. My A/C will be working over time!
