Too hot in my room where I sleep. It's an attic room. Without a/c the temp in the room easily goes up to 85 and even higher on nights like last night.

Good Sunday Morning MMC! I had my a/c on a couple of hours as I fell asleep and with my timer it went off for the next 6 hours. Woke up feeling hot but it was enough to let me sleep pretty comfortable the whole night. Now I already turned the a/c on again but will try to turn it off again. Our lights went on and off yesterday twice (came back on within a couple of seconds) but with everyone using electric in this heat I'm trying to do my part to at least not overdo it. Losing the electric in any situation isn't fun but in this heat or the real cold in the winter it's a lot worse!

When I was a kid I think I was around 13 yrs old before I even knew what a air conditioner was. Summer nights in Va. can be unpleasant with just a fan..lol

It's supposed to be a few degrees cooler here today---meaning about 89F. Yesterday was up around 96F---really stinkin' hot. We went out for lunch and didn't realize until we were seated that the air conditioning in the restaurant wasn't working. It was okay, no worse than sitting in the shade, but it felt good to get back in the car and turn on the A/C!
Really enjoying the rebroadcast of the Santa Tracking programming. Most of what I'm hearing I missed in the December broadcast. It's the perfect soundtrack for a Christmas in July Sunday!

We are in the final preparation stretch for our CIJ party that we are having today. Scrooge is on tv, Christmas music on the radio upstairs and Christmas dinner is in the oven. This is such a fun day, and I love that it's become a yearly tradition for us.

Lol!! I often try to think of how people managed to survive without text messaging!! Its insane, everybody and there brother sends me txts and I average around 300 responses a day. Its no wonder I have these strange aches in my thumb joints.
