Good Morning, Milestone Stalkers.
(Hey. You've got to creep up on them before they creep up on you!)

Fortunately, we have our guide with us to keep us out of trouble. It's called "The Milestone Chart", and it is most useful to us in avoiding sudden surprises!

Days to the Season: 96
Days to Christmas Day: 138

And today our guide tells us that we had best be careful going forward, because the next marker is hiding just 5 days ahead, waiting to ambush us.
But forewarned is forearmed, and we know its identity --- the 3/4 point to Christmas Season 2016!
(I hope we will be ready for it.)

Not too bad here yesterday, especially in the afternoon when it cooled off a bit in advance of yet another severe weather warning that dissolved into a heavy rain.
This AM has begun at 75 very damp degrees, with the prospect of more precipitation ahead.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Folks!
Thanks, Crown!
Have a Merry Day!

I agree....once it hits Sept 1st. I would like a slow down!!

Sorry you had a rough night...I hope you can get in a nap this afternoon!

Have a great Tuesday, Snowflake!

Have a great Tuesday, Frosty!! Nice that you have some vacation time to look forward to!

Have a good week KG!
Thanks, SnowflakeMom!
Have a fabulous Tuesday!

Merry Tuesday!! I am working today and my daughter had 4 of her friends sleepover so they will probably go home later this morning. My youngest is loving her camp so far..it is a new camp for her this year. My husband comes home today from PA from his golf trip so we will just have a quiet dinner at home tonight. Hope you all have a great Tuesday!
I'm glad to hear that your youngest is loving her time at camp!
Hope your husband is having a great time, and that he has safe travels back home. Have a blessed day!

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

Wow, we got a lot of rain yesterday afternoon. We really needed it, too. Also, it didn't hurt that I didn't have to cut more shrubs yesterday! ;)

I've been seeing an armadillo rooting around in my yard for the last couple days. I chased him two days ago, but he ran to a hole he'd dug under my front steps.

I saw him while it was raining yesterday, so I plugged the hole under the step, then I got a stick and ran out into the rain to chase him a way. It took a while, and I was completely soaked, but he finally left my yard for my neighbor's yard (sorry!). Maybe he learned his lesson. I know I did. Nancy pulled up from work and sat in the car, watching me chase an armadillo in the rain. I'm still getting laughed at.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D
:p I'm sure that was a sight!
Morning, Brad~ Merry Tuesday!
Glad you are getting the rain you need. Hope it helps to cool things down a bit, too. Have a great day!

It's going to be a hot and humid day today. Summer is going by so fast, I won't complain. We'll be heading out in a bit to a spa for a massage and spa stuff. I've never been to one, this is my husband's birthday gift. We'll see how it goes. At least there are pools and even a river to swim there. That will help in this heat. Wishing everyone a great day!

My two least favorite words lately, "Tropical Feeling" are being used to describe every day this week. I'm so over summer.

I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!
Unless the tropical feeling is sitting on beach drinking with a pineapple drink in the Caribbean.

Today is the first day of middle school for DD, she's in the sixth grade this year. You all know that I hate school, but I'm trying to have a positive attitude for her sake. Hoping and praying for a good year. The first day of school starts my countdown to Christmas, so bring it on! Four weeks from today, we'll be returning home from our annual Labor Day camping trip. That gives me something to look forward to in the short term!
Congrats to DD on beginning middle school!

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

I had a busy weekend with some yard work, work work, a wedding, and recording a commercial for Bernie's store.

It wasn't a real TV commercial, though. We sells Hunt Bros. pizzas (and a lot of them), and Hunt Bros. is offering a chance to win a cool-looking "Pizza Station" complete with cooker and refrigerated assembly table. The winner has to submit the best video "commercial" showing how adding Hunt Bros. has improved their business. The director/producer is our current mayor. He is a retired art college president, so he has lots of equipment and video-editing software, and he had the experience to make it awesome. It was a lot of fun!

I hope to finally get to see Star Trek tomorrow night!!

And I hope y'all have great day! :D

Good luck on the commercial.

Hello all. Hope everyone is having a decent day.

Henry had a friend over earlier today, and now Henry is bummed since his friend had to leave. Time goes so fast when you are playing hard.

Last night as Henry was getting ready for bed, I kicked a 5lb weight that was in the middle of the floor. Pretty sure I broke my middle toe on my left foot. It is quite blue and purple. I can still walk and it doesn't hurt too bad, but certainly not comfortable. Not much can be done about a broken toe either, so, just letting it heal. I was going to start getting in shape and running, but now I have an excuse to not run. ;)

Owwwwwweeeeeeeee!
I hope your toe heals up quickly.

Well you got 1 out of 2 :). I don't want winter...but I do want Autumn!
I will take autumn now, that is when everything starts ratcheting up towards the season, cool air, apple picking, pumpkin picking, cider donuts... so much to look forward to.

Amen!

And now I'm craving the donuts =]

Ouch! I am sure big toe breaks are worse. You never think about how much you use your big toe for balance and walking. Being that mine is the middle toe, it does not seem to be causing too much trouble.

I remember back when Astroturf was used in a lot of NFL stadiums, before the new grassy turf, Lineman used to break their little toes so often, many lineman were having their little toes surgically removed in the offseason.

I would be a big fan of going all Brady Bunch in my yard, with astro turf instead of grass. No more mowing, just vacuuming. :p
