Days to the Season: 72
Days to Christmas Day: 114

And the 100-day Christmas Day Window?
Well, it's just TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY!
(Believe it or not.)
Then, of course, a double-double digit count!


Still on the warm and humid side yesterday but the big news is the approach of Hurricane Hermine which struck the Florida gulf coast last night and is predicted to range on across eastern North Carolina.
Of course, it will not be at hurricane force, but even a tropical storm can cause problems. We are continuing to monitor it's approach.
Currently, we have ominous-looking storm clouds and a temperature reading of 76 degrees here.

Good Friday Morning MMC! TGIF! Labor Day weekend huh? Feels like it was just Memorial Day weekend! Looking forward to the long holiday weekend like most of you are. It's definitely needed. Keeping an eye on that storm. Sounds like we may get some rain and wind from it Sunday. They sound unsure if it will make it this far north. Hoping it won't rain on my BBQ on Monday.

We have made it to the Bers!

It was a long day here, we had a massive thunderstorm at 1am this morning. The thunder was extremely loud and shaking the house, lightning was lighting up the room like daytime. My aunt, the one who lost her house in the tornado back in 2011 and other people in her neighborhood were frightened and stayed up I think most of the night due to PTSD caused by that tornado. So sleep was rough last night for quite a few people, my boys slept right through it thankfully.
Our three kittens have been pretty much sleeping since I got home at 4, the little critters have been getting so big. Alex and Quinn have finally made a breakthrough in the relationship between the older cats and kittens. Alex was cleaning Quinn, and cuddling him. It has taken 4 weeks, but finally they are being accepted. Ophelia on the other hand hates all the kittens.
I am going to call it a night.

It's a long Labor Day weekend here, yay! So we will relax some, go biking, furniture shopping-we would like a new love seat. And since I finished my Autumn decorating this week I can move on to Halloween things, that should be fun- I will throw in a spooky movie & go to town =] And of course grill out a few times too.

All the ingredients for a perfect three day weekend!

TGIF Festive! Back to school. It's that time but that only means the holiday season is not far away!

Part of me can't wait for them to go back because I knwo that Halloween and Christmas will hit the stores once they do!!!
