1. Does your family send out Christmas cards? Yes
2. How soon do you start shopping? November 1
3. Who do you shop for? A less fortunate child in my neighborhood (working with a charity), my husband, my godson, my husband's parents and brother

5. If so, is it fake or real? Fake because my husband has really bad allergies.
6. Do you like tinsel? It looks cool but it's not my taste.
7. Do you use homeade or storebought ornaments? I buy my ornaments at the store.
8. Do you put Christmas lights outside your house? No, we live in an apartment in the city. We put lights around our windows but they are on the inside - but you can see them on the outside.
9. Do you put lights on the tree? Yes
10. How about popcorn and cranberries? No but that would be a fun tradition to start!
11. Is there a wreath hanging on your door? No. We have not found a good hanger yet.

I've only been past it once! Good question.
I believe it is the same house that belongs to the Steve Martin character's family in "Planes Trains & Automobiles"... PT&A is the movie that I traditionally watch on Thanksgiving Day every year, too!
Hello friend! Welcome! I love Christmas shopping on Michigan Ave. Every year while my daughter was in high school, I let her play hooky one day in Dec. to shop and have lunch in your city. Now she is a newlywed, but this time she invited me to take the train to Chicago to Christmas shop and spend the night...lots of fun!

We love to visit the windows on State Street and hit up the Chriskindelmarket (?sp) in Daley Plaza as well. Have you been to those? So wonderful.
