Good Morning MerryCarey. I got to the point in my life where I actually take vacation time to get the house set up. I tend to get impatient when I get just a little done here and there. Must be a old military thing... already starting on the village in my office.
Here is a picture of the tree at Busch Gardens last year.

Hope you reach much higher than that today! That's exactly what we have right now. 53º & sprinkling rain off & on.![]()
Thanks, Holiday!Hope you both had a great night & an even better day today! xx
Good Wednesday Morning to you NMC. Lists are a great idea. I'm not sure how much I would ever get done without them. It seems like I never think of some of the more obscure tasks when I am off and then when I don't have the time, they glare right at me.Good morning and Happy Wednesday! Today I will organize all the fall clothes Carolina has so far and then start figuring out my October thru New Years to do list. It will be a few very busy months for us as Carolinas birthday is in October and several events from November right on thru Christmas. I have work tonight so I'm hoping to get a lot done before then
So glad to hear that! <3Yes, I'm headache free this morning. Thank you so much Holiday. Hope you have a Happy Pines Day!
Morning, NcG!Morning All!! Woke up rain free today and sunny but cool. Hard to believe its almost the start of October and we were just watching Christmas in July on QVC.
Well, there are about three boxes of gingerbread mix in the house ... !Enjoy a few cosy days with seasonal treats.

LOL - when there's a will there's a way! Sweet Loki wanted a treat!!Oh wow! I really hope Gracie doesn't get sick from all that candy. Loki has gotten a hold of things we'd left on the kitchen table before. He's not that big or tall. To this day we don't know how he did it.
I hope both you & Mr Festive are feeling much better today!!! xx Have a Merry Pines Day Festive!Merry Wednesday and Happy Pines Day to all,
Hope everyone had a good end to their Tuesday and ready for the new day. I made it through the open house at the school and the rest of the evening wasn't too bad. It seems to come in waves. Plodding on though.
Mr Festive came home early yesterday and is off work today with the same symptoms.
Have a wonderful day everyone. Only 2 days till October!

Glad to hear itI made it back in one piece... lol. One thing about the overnight shift (be it good or bad) is that the tasks and the hours never change. It might seem a bit boring, but I usually find a way to liven it up. How your day is going well to this point.View attachment 30922
Please give sweet Maggie a big hug for us~Good morning ~
Happy Pines Day!
It's going to be mostly cloudy today with a high of 68. Chance of a shower this afternoon. Just took Maggie a walk, she already went back to sleep. I'm going to head out soon to do some shopping. Back home afterward to work on my daily chores and to make a pot of sauce, spaghetti & meatballs for dinner tonight.
I hope everyone has a nice day. Thoughts and prayers for all <3

Happy Pines Day, Ryan~Hello everyone. Not much is new around these parts, save for my daughter being down with strep throat. Hoping no one else gets it!
Have a merry Pines day!
Happy Pines Day, nmc!Good morning and Happy Wednesday! Today I will organize all the fall clothes Carolina has so far and then start figuring out my October thru New Years to do list. I'd say keeping busy is an understatement for you. In my case, when I refer to my office, it is the one in my home. When all the children are grown you find that you have a lot more room to do... well, usually nothing... lolLovely! Is that Busch Gardens in Virginia, or Florida?
We have a small house, so it doesn't take me very long to decorate that, usually right around Thanksgiving. But the audio work I do for MMC, plus the annual DVD of Christmas songs and clips I put together, plus cards, shopping, wrapping, shipping, baking, and all the usual stuff ... it all comes together eventually, but this time of year it always looks daunting! I don't get much vacation time, and I like to save a few days for between Thanksgiving and Christmas to enjoy the season. (And bake and wrap gifts.) This year I might have a day or two that I can take off for "Christmas work." I've been trying to get some done on weekends, but other things have been getting in the way.
As for the office, I have a little tradition of coming in on Thanksgiving weekend (when the office is closed) to put up my decorations, so people will see them when they come back after Thanksgiving. They seem to enjoy that! I don't have much space to use, as I need the desk space for my work, but I manage to make it festive!
So sorry to hear you have to work Saturday, ESPECIALLY since you were looking forward to a 3 day weekend. Bummer!!Good Wednesday morning! I am working the afternoon/evening shift again. Did not sleep well, I am having extremely weird dreams as of late. I found out yesterday that I will have to work this coming Saturday and I'm not exactly thrilled about it, as I would have had a 3-day weekend. The one good thing about yesterday at work is that we are now in the early planning stages of our Christmas boutiques, so that's always exciting. Hope everyone will have a wonderful day!
I just said to my co-workers, we didn't need to go from 90º to 60º! LOL We can handle some 70º weather for awhile!Good Morning, Season Supporters and Holiday Helpers.
And nothing does more to help us enjoy the long trip back to Christmas like our ever-recurrent and always-anticipated Milestone markers.
As such, it is almost with sadness that we take note of the fact that our next Milestone is the VERY LAST one before the commencement of Christmas Season 2016.
(Of course, that very fact carries with it excitement in the extreme, doesn't it!)
Days to the Season: 46
Days to Christmas Day: 88
That final marker?
Well, my Friends, it's just NINE SINGLE DIGITS away and it's the HOME STRETCH point to the Season, meaning, of course, that we will be 90 percent of the way there!!
Almost too cool at times yesterday with cloudy skies most all day and a sprinkle or two. I'm not quite ready for cold weather yet but it's nice to escape the heat and humidity for a while.
We are at 70 degrees here currently and it should be another pretty nice day assuming the rain stays away.
Well, sadly I will not be able to attend tonight's Shispering Pines open house, but I wish you all a happy visit. Have a cool one for me (sweet tea on the rocks, of course.)
See you back here bright and early on Saturday morning. Until then, I leave you in the capable hands of our tag-team volunteers, Edge and NcGunny.
Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Folks!
