Happy Friday eve friends. I woke up with a cold and have to attend a funeral today for one of my oldest friends. He moved to Chicago about a year ago, apparently it was a drug overdose. I love you all! Have a great day!
So sorry to hear that ... so sad. And a cold, too, as though you didn't feel bad enough already. I hope you feel better very soon.

I am so sorry for your loss, Frosty. Addiction is such a terrible disease.

Good morning MMC! Merry Friday Eve!! :jumpHope your day is off to a good start! It's dreary here with rain supposedly moving in later. For the 1st time this season our house temp dipped into the 60's overnight. It was 69º, so not too bad, but that's the 1st time I've seen that! Not sure I'm ready for that!

I had a nice night with Mom & Emma last night. We got our groceries, supper was delicious, & the movie "Going My Way" was very good, with some Christmas music included! :) We all enjoyed it! I had the fireplace going, (no heat) fall lights were on, fall candles burning. It was a nice & cozy night...and it was raining!

Everyone have a Fantastic Friday Eve!!!!
Glad to hear the movie was a nice and cozy experience! Must watch that sometime! We don't have the DVD, but maybe Amazon Prime has it for streaming.

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

Finally, all of the visitors have gone home, and I can get back to the business of getting the actual job done. We had a surprise 25 year service celebration for Russell that actually brought him to tears...ok, not just him. I wrote the message for the plaque we had made, so I had to read it aloud for him and the entire plant. We were all a little choked up when I finally got through it. Bless his heart, I hope he can stay with us here for a long time.

This afternoon, Nancy, Elizabeth and I are touring a nearby home that's for sale. We've been sort-of toying with the idea of moving to a larger home for a little while, but we don't want to go too far. This one is actually in Bellville, so we'll go take a look, but the price will have to be HEAVILY negotiated LOL. We've been in this house for 15 years, all of Elizabeth's life, so it would be strange to move. Hmmm. We'll see.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D
What a nice tribute for Russell. I am sure you did a great job with the plaque.

Best of luck viewing the house later! I wish you guys all the luck in the world. It definately is a bittersweet time when selling your home and moving to a new one. Very exciting too...and scary ...lol Let us know how it goes!

Sounds like a such a relaxing night. We also had a fire last night! Happy Friday Eve!
I love this one too!! lol
Thank you! It was a very nice night. We should do that more often. I think Emma was ready to curl up & spend the night - slumber party - Mom, ... not so much! ;)

:D

Awe, I'm so sorry to hear FKB! A sad day, made worse by a cold! I'll be thinking about you & sending prayers up for all! (((HUGS)))

Thanks Holiday! The return to school and the turn of the seasons often brings with it all sorts of bugs/viruses . Made worse due to our climate - wet/damp.

Did you get Gracie's results yet?
Yes, school time always seems to bring many bugs with it. Hope you are all 100% soon.

I probably won't get Gracie's results for a week or 2. The waiting game! Thanks for asking!

Merry Friday Eve!
It is definitely chilly out there today, just work for me today and my youngest has her open house at school tonight. Hope everyone has a great day!!
Hope the open house goes well! Stay warm today!! Have a great day!

Thanks! I am so much better...a little sleep goes a long way!!
So glad to hear you are feeling better! :)

It was very nice, thanks! Such a great movie - they sure don't make them like that anymore.

It is available to rent on Amazon Prime, but not for free! I bought it to download as an experiment. I had never done that on my kindle before - wanted to make sure I could watch a movie when not connected to Wi-Fi - it worked! :) (though we watched it on the big screen through Amazon Prime.)

Hello everyone. Just awful about that train wreck in New Jersey. Prayers for all those involved and their families!

I am happy to report that our very own Jayish is fine and he sends his regards to MMC.

Have a good day.
Thanks Ryan. I have that on the news right now too. So sad & scary! Prayers for all! Glad to hear Jayish is fine!

I wouldn't mind paying to rent it. I can't believe I haven't seen it before. With the same star and the same director, it probably has much of the same "feel" of "Bells of St. Mary." The director also worked on comedies with Laurel & Hardy, Our Gang, and the Marx Brothers, among others, and loved music and would sing on the set. So he certainly had a wide range of capabilities!

Yes, the Bells of St. Mary's is a spin off of Going My Way with Father O'Malley. (as you mentioned yesterday) Going My Way is 1944, & Bells of St. Mary's was made in 1945. I hope you get to see it! :) I have the Bell's on dvd so we'll have to watch that next.

Thank you! I appreciate it. MR F made it into work but is till feeling unwell. So am I but coping through. My eldest is off school today with the same thing so my focus is on him today. Thanks again. Hope you and Maggie are having better nights.
Prayers for you all~
