It's pretty calm right now, and the sun even peeked out yesterday afternoon. But they (yes, the ubiquitous "they" LOL) are saying the rain should start getting heavy in a few hours, and the wind should be getting up there around 2pm. We'll see. I've put away all the patio furniture and I'll turn off the pool at lunch. It'll be full of leaves for sure!
You should see all the traffic from cars leaving Savannah & Tybee Island heading west! We're about 60 miles west of Savannah, and all the hotels from here to Augusta are full. And, of course, gas prices jumped 25¢ per gallon. LOL
Anyway, we should be fine. I hope all you in close proximity to the storm are safe! And I hope y'all have a great day!
My sis/bil were supposed to be heading to Savannah tomorrow for a week! Well, obviously they have changed their plans! What a bummer!

Happily, our office is closed Monday for Columbus Day, so I'll have a lovely 3-day weekend. Cross you fingers ... maybe I'll get out a little early today.
Last year about this time, on a Friday, one of my co-workers brought in a huge batch of homemade meatballs and the fixings for meatball subs at lunchtime. It was such a huge success, they're having the second annual "Fall Ball" today. I missed the first one because Mr. and I were out of town. So I'm looking forward to seeing if those meatballs are all they're cracked up to be!

The vet said the test results will take 3-4 days to get back from the lab, & they will be sent to her specialist in Dayton...who just had knee surgery, so I'm guessing it will be at least a week or so?
Thanks Festive! All went well, I just came into work a little late!! Mom was still sleeping when I left, which is unusual - so after Gracie's appointment I stopped at her house on her way to work to check on her ~ all is good!

Yep, I don't like the waiting game. But it is what it is. At least she is happy & crazy - if she were not feeling well, it would be a rougher wait. So we'll try to think about it as little as possible & enjoy the weekend & nice weather!
We have a party at a friends house at the lake tomorrow. Jim is cooking 40 lbs. of wings & I'm not sure if he's making pork chops or turkey ribs to go with them? Should be fun! Of course we are watching the Buckeyes at their house before the wings & fixings!
Rest is good! I'm sure his body needs it! Praying every minute is better!

Would be nice to get snow around Christmas. We never know what's in store for us here weather wise these days.
Doubt it will be 70 degrees on Christmas Eve like last year at least...
We had the warmest December on record last year. The week of christmas I went shopping with no coat on. It got to the 60s!
Buckeye game is at 3:30 ~ we'll be eating after that. Come on over!!!
There will be PLENTY!
I sure hope we have more seasonable Christmas temps/snow this year!! But I say that cautiously when I think of the winter before last....
Yeah holiday don't wish too much or we'll wind up freezing for months and not seeing the ground till April!!!
