Interesting. My sister always makes homemade pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving. She bakes the pumpkin & scoops it out - everybody goes crazy over it, but she probably adds plenty of spices to it. I'm really not a fan of pumpkin pie (I am a fan of many other pumpkin things, just not so much pie) Might have to try the butternut squash to see if I like that any better! Thanks for the info!
