I hate when new software is dumped in my lap, and I'm told I have to make it work. It happens way too often LOL.Good morning MMC! Merry Pines Day!! What a dark & dreary day!! It's finally starting to look a little bit like daylight outside. It was dark as night this morning! (at least from the inside looking out!) And the rain is COLD!!! Our house has lost a degree every night this week - Monday morning was 68º in the house, Tuesday was 67º, this morning was 66º ~ getting closer to turning on that furnace! Thankfully the fireplace warms it up quick, but the day is coming!
Not much going on today. We are getting a new accounting software at work, so they sent me a demo version to make myself familiar with it. Should be interesting. So as of now I have no accounting software b/c I had to close out the books yesterday & we will start with the new software on Nov. 1st. Fun, fun!
Tonight we are going to the funeral viewing of my cousin. He passed away Saturday night. My family are all meeting at Moms, going together & then we'll go out to eat afterwards. Not exactly the thing anyone ever looks forward too!
Hope you are all off to a good Pines Day start!

Merry Pines Day snowflake!Good Morning, friends~
Merry Pines Day!
It's a chilly & rainy day-I wish I could stay home and watch movies in front of the fireplace all day! With hot chocolate, now that would be lovely.
Hope you all have a blessed & cozy day ahead~
See you tonight!

Private messages (PMs) are called "Conversations" on this format. Just go to your profile (or find Conversations in the mobile menu---I'm not sure where it is on a phone) and start a "conversation" with the person you want to message.I'm sorry to ask this here, but I don't know where to ask it... How do you message someone here privately? I'm trying to ask Jeff something but don't know how to send him a private message. Am I missing something obvious because I'm on my phone instead of a computer? I don't have a computer at home.
I saw one of those at the garden center last Christmas season! It's so-o-o retro. Here's a picture of the TV set that I picked up, the picture doesn't do it justice. Much nicer in person. There's lights, music, animation. Super cute

Thanks, Crown.Good Morning, Late October Travelers.
And traveling on we are, toward the first of a string of four holidays!
Shall we take a look at our progress?
(I'll take that as a "yes".)
Days to Halloween: 5 (Incredibly close now, to that first holiday!)
Days to the Season: 18 (Barely over 2 1/2 weeks remain!)
Days to Christmas Day: 60 (UNDER the 2 month mark!)
(Hey. This is really starting to get interesting!)
Well, the predicted cool-down arrived right on schedule yesterday and I had to wear a light jacket all day.
Today should be a carbon copy until warmer weather appears tomorrow. And that is predicted to carry on through most of next week!
Currently, we are at 46 degrees here in the capital city.
OK, Guys!
Tonight is the LAST open house of the month and also the LAST open house before Halloween. Carl's big pre-Halloween bash has been all prepared and is awaiting us at the 'Pines.
There will be the usual Halloween decorations (Carl excells at this!) along with the customary black and orange frosted Fired Twinkies.
Halloween movies will air in the 'Pines theater and, no doubt, Carl will attempt to experiment on us with some kind of pumpkin-blend concotion.
(Oh well, why not give it a try for the "spirit" of the season.)
See you there --- if you dare!
Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everyone!
Hope you have a good day at work!! Exciting Christmas parties are booked!!Good morning all my Christmas loving friends !
it is a cold morning here at -4c (28f), lots of frost.
Work Christmas party & family Christmas party booked!
off to work in an hour.
Ok now that the sneezing marathon is done....
Hope you all have a wonderful day, see you at the Pines !!
Carl is advertising a ballet for tonight....

Have fun at the Chinese Buffet!! Hate it when I oversleep - rude awakening. LOL Have a great day!Good Wednesday Morning MMC! Happy Pines Day. We woke up to temps in the 30s this morning and it definitely hit me a little bit. I overslept by a half hour (oops) which rarely ever happens. I think that I needed it after the other night a certain someone taking over my bed at 2:30AM. Still got to work on time by moving around my routine this morning. Going to the Chinese buffet tonight. Should be fun...and can anyone believe this weekend is going to be Halloween weekend? Unreal...
Have a great Wednesday!
Thanks! Prayers for you and your family!Have fun at the Chinese Buffet!! Hate it when I oversleep - rude awakening. LOL Have a great day!
Good morning Brad!Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!
I did a little work outside yesterday afternoon, and fought mosquitoes the whole time. I was hoping the more moderate weather would have thinned out the herd a bit, but no. My only revenge? Since I'm on a blood thinner, I can imagine what it tastes like to them LOL!
My mom just called from the mountains to tell me that the guy who shakes her pecans trees and picks up the pecans is coming...today. He called her, and since she's not around, I guess I'll have to ask off work this afternoon to help load the bags of pecans and take them to the market. I hate asking for time-off on the day I need it. Oh, well.
I hope y'all have a great day!![]()
