Oh wow...how exciting you are hosting! We host every year too...we have about 25 people or so. Not too many plans for the weekend. My youngest has baseball practice tonight and not too much else is planned. I am looking forward to a quiet weekend. Have a great Friday, Holiday!

It is exciting! Thanksgiving is always such a cozy holiday! I just figured it up - IF everybody can make it (which is unlikely) we will be with 49! THAT will be VERY cozy in our house! Ha ha!!

Awesome (I hope!)! We've never had a house large enough for the whole family, so it's always been at mama's. I'm ready to chow down again!

Nice that you go to mama's for Thanksgiving! Mom always use to do both Thanksgiving & Christmas but she hasn't had Thanksgiving for years & Christmas has been at one of my sisters the last 2 years though she is talking about having it again this year. YAY!!! It's always the best at mama's!
Apparently my great nephew was just asking last night where we are going for that really good turkey. LOL

TGIF, Christmas friends!

Tonight is Jacob's event, The University Singers. I'll have to leave early this afternoon to get there in time. I also have to leave in a few minutes to attend a funeral. A very sweet, dear lady in our church passed away. At church, she always hugged me and kissed me on the cheek so hard that it made her glasses go crooked. Every time! I'll miss Mrs. Mamie.

I'll be back after lunch. I hope y'all have a great day!

Him and the reindeer were going to go watch the Cubs parade but promised to be back in time to arrive at the north side mall later today.

Good morning Holiday, Happy Friday!
Yay for hosting Thanksgiving, that's so exciting! I hold off on the Christmas decorations because I host Thanksgiving every year. Otherwise I would definitely go straight to all Christmas after Halloween. Plus I host Christmas Day as well, so the family gets to see my house decorated for Christmas too. I love my Autumn decor but I can't wait to switch over, nothing beats the glow of those Christmas trees.
No big plans this weekend, should be a relaxing one. Hope you have a nice day and a wonderful weekend ahead!

It is exciting to host - makes it tougher when we go to the in-laws for lunch 1st but I haven't heard anything when they are having theirs this year. Usually it's lunch on Tday! It will work out. I'm hoping it's a different time though so I can stay home, turn on the parade, the dog show & then watch Miracle On 34th Street as everyone is arriving!!
And I agree - I do love the autumn décor but there is something mesmerizing about the Christmas lights/decorations! So exciting! So nice that everyone gets to see all of your beautiful decorations!

The Christmas market is also being set up along with a ice skating rink

I wish my local town did more actually! This is in the main city. I live in a small town just outside. Only about a 15minute drive away though.

I am so excited! Listening to the Buble at the moment. First music of the season! Let the good times roll!

Happy Friday!
Its going to be a nice day, sunny with highs near 60 degrees. I'm just having a cup of coffee and working on a menu plan and grocery list. Not too much going on here today. I'm having lunch with my mother later, we're going out for Chinese food. Back home afterward to work on my daily chores. I'm making chicken pot pies for dinner. Thanks for posting the recipe last week Holiday, it reminded me that I haven't made them in quite some time. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a great day!

So sorry to hear Mrs Mamie passed. She sounds like she was a lovely lady. Hope the funeral passes well.

Just got a call from the vet. Gracie's urine culture came back negative, so we are going to continue on with our original plan of antibiotics for 2 more months. They just want to make sure the infection is all taken care of! Good news - I guess. 2 months of antibiotics just seems brutal! We'll do what we have to do!

They just want to make sure the infection is all taken care of! Good news - I guess. 2 months of antibiotics just seems brutal! We'll do what we have to do!

Prayers continue for Gracie. Glad it came back clear. I know it will be a difficult couple months though. Hang in there! She is so lucky to have a momma like you ((((Hugs))))

I just got back from the funeral. It was a very nice, very large service, and we had a huge dinner after. Poor Mr. Edward, bless his heart. He cried and cried the whole time.
