Christmas Countdown - 2017

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

It's bright an sunny outside, and a lot cooler. It was in the low 30's when I left for work. That a big change from 60's yesterday morning. I like it!

I've been running full steam ahead here at work, and I'm no closer to being caught up. I need to stay on top of the pile on my desk.

Good Thursday morning! Day off today but many things to do. For one thing, Loki has his annual vet exam and shots today. Poor little thing trembles when he's at the vet. It's gotten very cold overnight and will get even colder in the next few days. I'm sitting here tracking a Fedex package. It's our inventory equipment for our annual inventory on SUNDAY. Can't believe that the company in New York waited until yesterday 2pm to ship it. Let's just say we're all VERY concerned at work. I'll keep my mind occupied with running errands and taking down te tree and chores, etc. Hope everyone will have a great day!

Good morning Martine. She's doing much better, she looks good, but she's so ready to come home from the nursing home! She's been in pretty good spirits, but she doesn't put much effort into her therapy....and that's what she needs to do if she wants to go home!! She's on Coumadin for at least 3 months, so falling is a big risk. BUT she could fall at the nursing home too, so we'll see. Thanks for asking!

Praying Loki's vet appointment went well. Hope the shipment comes on time.

Thank you Meceka, both went well. My boss went to the Fedex shipment facilities near our work when the package arrived to get it faster. And Loki was shaking like a leaf and whining at the vet, but once the exam and shots were done and we put him down on the floor, he turned back to his barking, excited self.

Hello! Good evening yall. I'm finally back home. Seems we've been in traffic all afternoon. I can't wait to have a whole day to spend on here with all of you.
I live in SC & they're calling for snow! Yay! I know some of you are used to it but not here. We may get snow 1x every 2 years or so. We can't wait!
Our town doesn't have the equipment to make the roads drivable so they town usually shuts down completely.
Made chicken fajitas tonight. Can't wait to eat. Yum yum!

Gracie is doing pretty good too. She had a rough day on Dec. 30th. Threw up so many times....but then she was ok & crazy again. Doggie flu? I dunno? I have a suspicion the antibiotic is starting to bother her stomach too. Keeping an eye on her!!

And to think exactly two weeks ago Christmas hadn't even happened yet. I think right around this time I was wrapping up my last presents and making sure everything was under the tree. It's so weird going through each moment now week by week, day by day, and remembering where you where and what you were doing at each moment over the holiday season.

Hello everyone!
Not everyone knows me on here as I don't post very much, but I’ve been around for some time and check the forums pretty often during the holiday season.

I got a case of the post Christmas blues in the beginning of this week. Went back to work on Monday after a week off, but I didn’t feel ready yet. Luckily there wasn’t much to do as it was the first day of the year, so plenty of time to get used to it again. Since Tuesday it’s been pretty stressy already at work but it did help me to get back in the normal 'rhytmn', also coming to MMC has been of help. Took down the decorations and tree on Tuesday night and now I feel fresh and ready for the new year to unfold. I’m looking forward to upcoming holidays and of course Christmas 2017!
I think as Christmas nuts we should remember that there’s always a little bit of Christmas within us and at any given time we can let it out. After all, what’s wrong with watching a Christmas movie in February, listening to that special cd in April or try out a new Christmas cookies recipe in July?!
Let’s keep the spirit up throughout the year and remember we’re not alone in this!!

Just a quick visit tonight, I have a pounding headache tonight. Today is my 7 year MMC anniversary, it seems just like yesterday when I joined due to a very bad case of PCB's. MMC has definitely has made the PCB's more bearable through the years.

Good evening yall! I'm familiarizing myself with the site again. You may see a few oopsies from me as I learn again.
Being up this late alone always causes me to want to snack. From May-November we did low carb. Since the holidays we are trying to get back on track...iy yi yi! I'm gonna be good though..
So is everyone as disappointed as I am in the after Christmas sales? I did read about Hallmark from someone here but I've not been yet. Haven't seen the deals like years passed.

Well tonight marks the last night of what I'm considering my official holiday season. I'm back to work in the morning, back to the five day a week Fri-Tue grind for the foreseeable future. It's not that I didn't work throughout Dec, just that it was only scattered days throughout the month, and of course I managed to get "sick" at certain convenient times as well (with a doctor's note to prove it ). Anyways, I'm pretty sure during this first work week back I'll still come home in the evening and watch a Christmas movie or something. Lot of homes around town with lights on and decorations still out so on my way home from work each night I'm sure that'll be enough for me to justify keeping it going. But at this point only time will tell how long that lasts. If I feel like it on my days off next week I'll still make it Christmas time. And I'll continue to see how others are feeling around town and if I see enough lights and decorations still up and if the weather remains cold then that could contribute to my wanting to keep it going even longer. But again, who knows how long that will last and if I'll still feel it. I mean, of course it's always there, but you know what I mean, at some point the active celebration has to go. So we'll see. For now I'm going to just relax and end the night with a good Christmas movie, haven't decided which one yet though...

Good morning, Happy Thursday! It's pretty chilly out there this morning. We're expecting a few inches of snow later this evening in to tomorrow morning. Not too much going on here today. Still cleaning the house, trying to get everything back in order. Looks bare with most of my Christmas decorations down. I have some Valentines Day decor I'm going to put out since it's right around the corner. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
