Merry Friday!!!

What are you guys up to this weekend?
I am packing away some final decorations today. I will listen to Christmas music one last time till november. It is a new Christmas record my husband gave for Christmas. It's a special edition green pressed collection of classic favourites!!

Here is a photo. I just love the green!!! Can't wait to display it this christmas!

TGIF MMC! Time to start remembering how awesome Fridays are. Time to start appreciating the weekend again. I mean now that we're back full-time working. It's been a good week so far. A shorter week still but still seems pretty long being 3 days and now going on 4! Imagine what a 5 day week will feel like next week lol. It's going to be a cold weekend here. A good hibernation weekend. We have about an inch of snow that fell over night. Just enough to make everything look like Christmas. The lights around town are still on. I'm appreciating each day of them. My tree will stay up the next 3 weeks lit! I am enjoying it. Well time to get going so I can get to work and start to think about the weekend coming.
Have a great Friday!

Good Friday morning! Working the afternoon/evening shift today. Two days away from our annual inventory, things are getting serious. I'll be spending part of the day today and tomorrow training employees on using the scanners for inventory. Looking forward to it being done and over with. We didn't take down our tree yesterday as planned, we had too many errands to run and other priorities. Looks like Monday will be the day. It's currently -14°C/7°F here with the windchill and it's going to be that cold/colder for many days to come. Wish I could stay inside in the warmth. Everyone have a great day!

Good Morning, Christmas Pursuers.

And along the way, we chase Milestones.
Speaking of them, the first one is not very far away at all.

Days to the Season: 311
Days to Christmas Day: 353

In fact, that marker, the 300 day Season Window, is a scant 11 days ahead, now. SINGLE DIGITS from the day after tomorrow!
How can we be this close this soon?
Well, the secret is in the dept of the Season. The countdown to Christmas Season 2017 actually began back on November 13 of last year.
<< Ah, Hah. So that's it, Crown! >>
Indeed, little voice. Indeed.

All eyes are on the sky as we continue under an official winter storm warning.
Four to Six inches of snow (that IS snow and not ice, fortunately) is the predicted accumulation and the event is supposed to begin late today.
Right now, we are still well above freezing at 40 degrees and should stay that way until late this evening.

Have a Fabulous Friday Friends, in keeping with the weather situation!

Went to bed last night and woke up this morning with a few inches of snow....ok...maybe two. But enough to shut down school and businesses. I know, I know....some of you just laughed hysterically at that....but our little communities and counties don't invest in much snow prevention equipment or materials seeing as how we go some years with no snow....we got more last night (2 inches) that we did last year!

Well, I'm going to enjoy a day off...even if it isn't needed. I just got back from a 2 week break!!!! There are a few perks to this school business....

Thanks Crown! Stay safe in the snow!

And to think exactly two weeks ago Christmas hadn't even happened yet. I think right around this time I was wrapping up my last presents and making sure everything was under the tree. It's so weird going through each moment now week by week, day by day, and remembering where you where and what you were doing at each moment over the holiday season.
Two weeks ago I was just starting my holiday vacation from work. Was rushing around shopping, watching xmas movies, and taking in the season. Now I'm reminiscing, but still watching the movies Last night I spent more time watching the DVR xmas commercials than the movie itself. Still finding some xmas lights on houses. Not many though. Luckily, the house directly across the street still has theirs up. Good people!

Good morning! We had a two hour delay for school this morning. A combination of the snow from yesterday and single digit temps with windchills around -15. It was a welcomed surprise to get the call. However, it is about time to head to school, but hey, it's FRIDAY!

Everyone have a great day!

21 degrees in Dallas. Basically an arctic tundra for us.
Lol!!!! When I bought my new Silverado I flew to Dallas to buy it (it was around 12k cheaper than anywhere on the east coast) it was in Jan and the temp was mid 20's. People acted like the world was ending..lol
