Advancing on as we ever do, day by day, we but turn another page.....and approach yet another Milestone.

The numbers:
Days to the Season: 271
Days to Christmas Day: 313

Getting perilously close now to SINGLE DIGITS to our next marker, the 300-day Christmas Day Window, after which BOTH of our counts will begin with a "2" and we will have passed the first hurdle toward the start of an early acceleration toward our coveted Christmas holiday!


Coolish yesterday but not bad at all for February, really. There was plenty of sun to go around and no precipitation of any kind to spoil the day.
Now, this morning has commenced cloudy following a brief shower. It is 51 degrees here in the capital city and may not get much warmer today.


Well, Carl is ready for any and all visitors at the 'Pines for this evening's open house. As usual, he is a bit overstocked on red and white frosted Valentines Day fired twinkies, so excellent deals will no doubt be available.
(And don't forget to get a sweet southern iced tea to go as you leave!)

Thxs Crown!!! We have snowflakes falling today the size of pine cones here and very little warmth.

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

I think the modem at home is giving up on me. The wifi is almost non-existent and the direct connection to the computer is spotty. We have DSL through AT&T, and the modems they offer only last about a year and a half...just long enough for the warranty to fail. I think I'm going to peruse Amazon Prime for one today. ATT charges $100 for a modem, and they insist on keeping you on the phone for an hour while they make you troubleshoot it AGAIN. I think I can order a cheaper one.

Going to be a rainy day here in south GA. Y'all stay dry!

Happy Pines Day!
Not too much going on here today, I'll just be working on some chores ateound the house. I also need to organize my bedroom closet. My husband finally finished painting this past weekend. He had to take everything out of our walk in closet, it's all piled up in the middle of the bedroom. Now I get to put it all back. Fun, fun, fun. My middle one also has an interview this afternoon for a new job. That's about it. Hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!

Day off tomorrow, mainly getting the house together before leaving.

Good Morning, MMC!!! Its going to be a chilly day here with a chance of some flurries. Nothing to much going on here today. I just need to get caught up on some stuff around the apartment and make a run to the grocery store. I hope everyone has a great day!!!
 
Merry Pines Day!! Just usual day for me today. My daughter has dance tonight and then I may have to work a little late tonight due to work. Last night I saw 2 houses still lit up..looked so pretty with all the snow! Hope you all have a good day!

When I was a kid (and an Army brat), we lived in San Francisco for a few years. It was always a lot cooler in the bay area than anywhere else around there. When we finally moved back to Georgia (in July), we flew from SF, where it was in the 50's, and landed in Atlanta. It was almost 100°F and 100% humidity. Now THAT was a shock. I was wearing long sleeves and a light jacket LOL.

Thanks everybody. It was nice to get back home...not so great "back to work" Ha ha!! It was a nice trip...just soooooooo long traveling there back. I was so happy to have yesterday off work to re-coop & catch up. I sure missed my Gracie girl! :)
