Christmas Countdown - 2017

Good morning MMC ~
Been so busy this week running around getting ready for my mothers birthday party on Sunday. Lots to do today as well. I have an appointment to have my hair cut and colored this morning. My daughter has a doctor appointment later this afternoon. I'll run my errands and work on daily chores in between. Just threw dinner in the crock pot, I'm making pulled pork sandwiches tonight. That's about it for me. Hope everyone is well and has a great day!

Advancing right along now, we begin our final approach to 2017 Milestone maker number four!

Days to the Season: 249
Days to Christmas Day: 291

And Milestone marker number four is, of course, the 1/3 point to Christmas Season 2017, and will be here in just SIX days.
(UNDER a week away, now!)


It was just a bit cooler yesterday but still exceptionally nice for early March here in North Carolina. Today should see us approach the mid-70's, again with no prediction of precipitation.
One more day of this tomorrow, then Mother Nature has indicated enough is enough, and the weekend will see us return to more seasonal conditions.
Currently, our back door thermometer reads 43 degrees here in the capital city. A bit coolish, but nice and sunny with no wind.

I am just jumping on now as work has been busy today...
We are supposed to get snow tomorrow...ugh...3-5 inches! The next week they are saying maybe a bigger storm maybe Tues-Wednesday. Oh well...seems like winters are getting later and later each year.

Thank you both, Maggie made it through her groomer appointment just fine. I ended up bringing her to the vet yesterday because she was coughing more than usual. An X-ray shows that her airway is very narrow. We're hoping it's just inflammation and that anti inflammatory pills will give her some relief. I will keep you posted.

I hope Maggie is ok and the meds help her!! Have a great day, HMG!

They are saying snow for us tonight. And possibly again Monday. Tomorrow night we have a low of 15º - Saturday a high of 30, low of 16...Yep, February was warmer!!

CUTE! We had one of those at my parents house, only it was our wedding countdown. It ran up & down the stairway going up to my bedroom. (my nieces/nephews made it...it was HUGE in the beginning!) 20 Years ago today, there were 7 links left!!!

Getting ready for a little bit of snow tonight, I will be sure to enjoy it since it may be one of the last snows of the season.
I picked out my corned beef for St. Paddy's day today, I love corned beef and I usually get it once a year.

TGIF! Hope everyone is ready for the weekend cause I am. It's snowing here this morning. We expect up to 3 inches of snow. But it's been so warm the last couple of days I doubt it will stick too much on the roads. It's going to be another bitter cold weekend like last weekend. I guess winter is getting us back for being so nice the 2nd half of February. Maybe a bigger storm next week but we'll see they keep changing what they say. Just gonna try to have a quick Friday and get to my weekend. Might order Chinese food tonight. Have a great day!!!

We made one for the boys day after Christmas. The chain runs around the whole ceiling in the playroom. 365 construction paper strips cut out, 365 staples..lol. It ever so slowly is shrinking

Good Friday morning! A much-needed day off today. On Wednesday, I was up at 4:30am (couldn't sleep anymore) and to celebrate International women's day at work, I prepared a photo montage of all the women at work, then prepared some food for the pot luck organized by the social committee, went in early to help said committee set up the tables and then worked the afternoon/evening shift as planned. I tried to finish early yesterday to compensate but wound up working a normal full day where I didn't even stop to eat lunch. I'll get an extra day off next week which will give me a long weekend, really looking forward to it. Today will be a day for laundry and chores and doing our taxes. Have a great day everyone!

We're expecting 3-6 inches of snow here on the island. Hopefully the roads won't be too bad, I have to run a few errands. The girls also have school and work so they'll be driving as well.

Glad to hear you're getting that much-needed day off. Taxes and laundry are fine, but I hope you'll be able to relax some, too.
