Christmas Countdown - 2017

Good morning all my MMC friends. Well, the refuse collectors came by, so I guess my excuse to finish raking the yard is now officially gone. That's okay, should help me sleep this afternoon. Nice day here. Cooler temps (low 50's), but sunny and that goes a long way. The morning started off well with a nice Bible study at 6AM and then catching up with all of you before I head outside.
The only problem is all those annoying phone calls these days. I really miss the "No Not Call" list they use to have. Have a fun Tuesday...

Hi all! Happy Monday evening-we made it!!

Feeling very positive. My doctor finally got me on the right medication for my thyroid and I feel like a new, energetic woman. Follow up appointment in just a few weeks and feeling really great about my progress so far!

A rainy evening here, but it's OPENING DAY! So, I'll take the April showers that come along with it. April brings new energy--spring, spring fever and looking to summer adventures at the river, and just enjoying being outside more often. I love winter and fall, but spring sure does feel good this year.

Hope everyone has a phenomenal week! It is so good to be here more often these days.

I'm glad they finally got your meds worked out! I've heard about how much trouble a thyroid issue can cause.

I have to agree that the plots can be pretty predictable ... but I like to tune in just to see the decorations!

In all fairness, it must be pretty difficult to come up with so many new romantic screenplays with a Christmas theme. There are only so many variations on that theme, it seems. But speaking as a viewer, sometimes a good old formulaic Christmas movie is just what's needed!

We're expecting thunder and lightning Thursday afternoon! That will seem odd, as we just had snow last Saturday.

Happy Tuesday Holiday. I'll echo those sentiments for your Mom and pray things continue on the healing path. I have to sleep in an elevated position myself these days, since an old back injury has caught up with me and laying flat has me up in serious lower back pain within a few hours.
As far as your day goes... have you heard that song by the Association?

I think they do still have the Do Not Call list, don't they? You just have to re-register your number every so many years. Though I'm not sure how much good it does. We still get a lot of annoying calls...UGH

I took her to the vet this morning, and she was crying so loudly as they took her from me to the back. They did an X-Ray and found her bladder had a lot of stones that were preventing her from emptying, so while she was sedated they asked for permission to do the surgery. About an hour later, it was done and she was in recovery. They insist on keeping her overnight, though, and they won't let me visit her. They say it will agitate her too much if I visit but don't take her with me. They're probably right, but I already miss her.

Holding my breath until tomorrow!

When I was visiting Nitro a couple years ago when he was in the hospital a few days it was so bad seeing him laying there sad...and then he'd actually try to get up and come with us out. It's like I wanted to see him and visit him but it was so hard to leave him there I almost wanted to just go when I could bring him home. Hope she gets to go home tomorrow.

Awe! Poor Lulu!!! Hopefully she will be sedated enough she will sleep her day & night away! And I hope you keep busy so the day goes fast! That's hard!! When they kept Gracie 2 nights, we didn't go see her the 1st night b/c I knew I would want to take her home & I knew she would want to go home. The second night I couldn't stay away anymore, & yes it was very hard to leaver her there.

Oh I am so sorry Brad...it must have been hard to leaver her. I am happy to hear she made it through surgery ok.

Lol - true. Although I think they have come out with some pretty good ones. Some plots are cheesy, almost all are very predictable, but have you ever just stopped & looked at their scenery? AMAZING! Beautiful!!

Lol..thats about all some of them have going for them Holiday, is the scenery. It just seems like its the same old rehashed plot lines. Idk..maybe there has been so many made a totally new storyline is impossible.?

We are so lucky Gracie loves going to the vet. Buster was totally opposite.

We're a pretty forgiving office here. We can leave any time for anything, as long as we let someone know we're gone. So, yes, as soon as I get the call, I'm gone!
