Hi everyone. Sorry I have not been around recently. Just been busy.

However, I am on here today with some very sad news. As most of you know I am a high school teacher at a rural school. We are near the end of the year, as a matter of fact, tomorrow is the Senior's last day. Today, right after the seniors were out, one of my students was in a single car accident and died. I have been his Social Studies teacher for the last three years and he was on my Quiz Team. As a matter of fact he was the high scorer for the league! It is so sad! He was about to graduate, tomorrow would have been his last day of high school. My Ancient Greece class will be one student less tomorrow.
I am sorry to bring such sad news here, but I know how supportive everyone is here and the compassion of this community. Please keep his family in your thoughts.

That is so tragic. His family and friends (and teachers) will be in my prayers.

Hope everyone is doing well.
I can't believe how far into the year we are. The milestones keep whooshing past. I celebrated a birthday a couple of weeks ago now father's day is a month away.

I don't know if I mentioned but we accepted an offer on our house late Feb and was able to offer on a house we liked in a great neighbourhood. So the last couple of months I have been busy with the sale and purchase. Hopefully we should complete in June. Can't wait to move and start redecorating

I miss you all and hope everyone is well and coping with life's ups and downs.

Morning MMC! Happy Pines Day. Today we should see temps get well up into the 80s with sunshine. It's going to feel more like July than May today. But I think the weather is just trying to even out after a chilly and rainy 1st half of the month. Just trying to catch up on things this week at work as it's my "slower" week of the month. At least the one week of the month where I can do things I normally don't get to that I'm supposed to do. Oh my brother in CA text and said he's coming June 27th! He will be leaving July 10th. And I know when he comes and stays he will talk about Christmas and as he leaves say "I'll be back in December for Christmas." That always gives me chills in the heat of July. Have a great day!

I bet it'll be great to have your brother for two weeks!

I'm starting to get new orders for projects that are due in October, November and December. They always make me smile, too!

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

I was lazy yesterday afternoon. I admit it. I went home from work and watched Netflix till it was time for supper. "Bad Brad!" But it was fun!

I grilled some pork chops later, and they were awesome if I do say so myself! It was the first time this year I've fired up the grill, and I realized how much I miss cooking outside. Maybe we'll grill again this weekend. Hmmm.

Todays Countdown commences under clear skies and higher than normal temps. Our high today is suppose to reach 87° now with 75% humidity. Always makes for a interesting day..lol
Enough chit chat and lets get to the numbers we all look forward to seeing each day!

Days to the season: 180
Days to Christmas: 222
Our next Milestone will be upon us in 22 days. But you ask "Gunny how can that be?" Time stops for nobody MMC!! In 22 days we will celebrate the 1/2 point to Christmas.
I even heard that Carl takes his yearly bath on that Milestone Day!! Everyone have a good day!!

Thanks Gunny! Hard to believe we'll be in a Double "1"s count in just over 3 weeks time!

Merry Pines Day!! This week is going by pretty fast for me. I am liking this warm weather this week. Although I did see on the news that Colorado could have 6-12 inches of snow this week! That is crazy. My daughter has dance tonight and her recital next Saturday night. Hope you all have a good day!

Good morning MMC! Merry Pines Day!!! It's another beautiful day!! Supposed to be warmer than yesterday, but I'll take it! I'm hoping to start planting flowers - maybe at lunch but for sure after work!! We had SO MUCH FUN flower shopping in Amishville last night. We didn't have to put anything on our lap, but our truck was FULL - both the bed & the back seat! Flowers everywhere! We went to 3 green houses. They all had such pretty flowers & their prices amaze me! And now the "work" begins!!

I hope everyone's day is off to a good start!!! Have a great one!

Oh goodness! I'm so sorry to hear this ITP! Not a good way to end the school year. How tragic. I'll be keeping you all in my thoughts & prayers. Tough days ahead.

How exciting that your brother will be home soon! Mine just left yesterday! BUT hopefully we'll be seeing them again next month for family vacation!!!

Gotta love cooking outside! My brother in laws meat store is "famous" for their marinated pork chops - can't beat them on the grill. Mmmm, Mmmm! (now I'm hungry for marinated chops )

We may hit record temps tomorrow..although I will take it for now..ask me in August and I may be ready for a change..lol!
