Good morning MMC!! Merry Friday Eve! So happy to see MMC back up & running this morning!


Looks like it's going to be another beautiful, yet windy day here! Yesterday was ridiculously windy & today is more of the same. With the farmers in the fields it looked like we were in the desert!! My friend babysits from her home - she said the kids were outside playing & she made them come in b/c with all the dust she couldn't see them out her window! LOL! YIKES!

Not much going on today except for work. After work I'm hoping to get some flowers planted & I need to make a layered taco dip & a strawberry dessert for our nieces graduation party tomorrow night & get them delivered! I need more time between work & bed time! Ha ha!

I hope everyone had a great 'Pines' evening, and I heard Carl did take his yearly bath last night. By my count we are now into the 3 week window of our next milestone..200 days to Christmas!!
Days to the season: 179
Days to Christmas: 221

It was extremely warm here yesterday, we had a high of 88°
and high humidity. It looks like today is worse but then we score more seasonable weather until at least Memorial Day.

We may hit record temps tomorrow..although I will take it for now..ask me in August and I may be ready for a change..lol!

Good morning SFM! I'm with you loving this above normal temps right now, but like you said - ask me again in August!
Looking forward to planting flowers. Most of them will be in pots/baskets. I use to plant in the ground, but mercy that's a lot of work digging in the clay we have here! We will plant marigolds in the front of our garden, but the rest will be in pots.

This one is my favorite so far... I'm keeping this one for myself. My MIL is getting one just like it!



The top hanging basket I brought back for my neighbor, the other purple/yellow/white is for my nieces future MIL & the red'ish pot was my bargain of the day. It's huge - 4 bucks! I have no idea where I'm going to put it, but I'll find a spot! That one may have to go in the ground too!

Good evening everyone.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Today was a VERY rough day at school. The kiddos handled it the best they could. The Seniors were the most affected and they had a rough morning. But they did what they could and made some great posters and chalk drawings outside.
As a testament to what wonderful kiddos they are... During my fourth period class (US History with sophomores) I noticed a couple of seniors standing at my door. Luckily, I have another teacher in the room during that class, we co-teach one class. Anyway, I walked out to see what those students needed. I was met by a group of about eight seniors. I asked what I could do for them, and they responded, "nothing, we came to see how you are doing." These kiddos knew that I thought a lot of the student who had passed and he really enjoyed my class. He was a special student to me. In their sad moment, they thought about how I might be feeling. What amazing kiddos!!! They are a great bunch. I am getting watery eyed as I think and write about it.
Well, as I told my classes today, no matter how hard it is, the world does not stop moving when something like this happens. And therefore, we must press on and do what needs to be done. So, in the middle of all of this, I still taught today and students still learned today. Tomorrow is a new day and it will be easier than today.

Again, thank you all for your thoughts and prayers! It really means a lot.

Oh gosh ITP! I got watery eyed reading your post!! I lost a friend/classmate when we were Juniors in HS due to a car accident so I can relate with what the students are feeling. It's so hard! That was so nice of his class mates to come check on you! They sound like great kids! Sending thoughts, prayers & strength to all of you!

It was windy here yesterday, too. Lulu likes to ride with her head hanging out of my window, buy it was so windy, her ears were standing out while we were stopped at the red light LOL.

Thanks you! Yes I can't wait to decorate the new house for christmas and halloween. The thought keeps me going through the stress lol.

Mum may visit in autumn this year. She has some job commitments over summer but it works out perfectly with us moving house! It will give us some much needed time to settle and tackle some decorating.

How are things on your end? How is your mum ??? How is Gracie? I hope you are keeping well. You have been in my thoughts often.

Mom is doing pretty good. Her memory is touch & go. Her mornings can be a little shaky. I'll be staying with her this weekend so I'm hoping she has a good one! xx Gracie is good. (knock on wood! xx) She's fun & crazy as ever! ♥ All is well here. Our month of May has been absolutely nuts, but I'm so happy it's this time of year! I hope your weather improves very soon!

Morning MMC! It's hot out there! Well it's going to be today right now it's just warm and sticky. A high of 92 is predicted for today. After that though the temp starts dropping Friday and by the weekends highs in the 60s. Weatherman said that the rest of May starting this weekend look at or below normal again. So a few hot days and then back below average like we had been for most of this spring seemingly. I guess that's good because I don't want it to be too hot too early. Have a great day!

Good Thursday morning! One last day of work and then I'm off until the 28th. Because of my issues with my tendon, we did not plan anything grand for our vacation and we'll just do whatever we fancy on any given day. A long work day ahead as I have tons to do and I'm giving health and safety training to new hires tonight. A third amazing Summer-like day today. We had to bring out the electrical fan last night to get more comfortable. It's too early for our portable air conditioner. Hope everyone will enjoy a fabulous day!

Those vacations can be the best vacations! I hope you both relax & totally enjoy!!!

Good morning ~
It's going to be warm today, we're expecting a high of 82 degrees here on the island. I have an appointment to have my hair cut and colored. Don't really feel like sitting in the salon all morning but my daughters engagement party is just over a week away so it needs to be done. Typical day otherwise. oh how I have missed you all ! hoping my computer problems are now in the past.
Going to be another hot one here today. No chance to get used to it as we went from 12c to 29c in only a day. Had my eldest over to help put in the Ac so we could stay comfortable. Nice breeze this morning, and looks like we had rain overnight.

Yep, agree - problem is this time of year when the high is predicted to be 70º it takes most the day for it to get up to 70! I want to be outside in shorts & a t-shirt planting flowers. If the sun is out, it will be fine but if it's windy & cloudy it will be too chilly!! LOL Picky, Picky, Picky!

This is my cousins deck in Colorado at 5am this morning... the snow was supposed to START at 5am!

This happened to us once when I was a kid at home, but it was in the fall. Look at all the leaves on the trees!! We went 3 weeks with no electric. You couldnt even drive on the roads due to trees,limbs all over. Our driveway was 3/4 of a mile long and it took 2 days to clear it of trees.
